Marlon Wayans, Who Wore Dresses on Film for Decades, Vocally Defends the LGBT's Online
He posted a simple message of Pride, and got a ton of nasty comments from people who follow him but apparently don't like the gays. He kept pushing back with more anger against these cranks, and it's escalated into quite the little circus.
He's the father of a trans person, which evidently taught him things about LGBT life that all those years of "Gay Dude" and "Dude in a Dress" couldn't teach him. It was funny when he was trying to make a buck, but now that it's his own family, he cares.

Correction: In hindsight, I should've said YEARS instead of DECADES.
The Wayans Bros was in the 90s, and the Scary Movie series was in the 2000s. He wasn't exactly Dame Edna. My mistake.

You also should not have used an apostrophe to pluralise that initialism.

R2 Ah, shove it up your sister's dusty box! I was in a hurry to post this before someone else did, lest I incur the wrath of the "Mein Fuhrer" cunt.

Too late OP. These already a thread on this but I won’t link because you tried real hard.

Isn't that the way it tends to be and how real change happens? When this stuff hits home? How many people on here had (or still have) homophobic parents and family members until they came out? How many people on here are still closeted because they're waiting for their parents or grandparents to die?

R6 Does not compute for me.
Why restrain yourself for the sake of elderly relatives? If they don’t like you for who you are, then fuck ‘em! Live your life on YOUR terms, and fill it with people who care about the real you.

Well, of course, you can be sure all of us would have been so immediately accepting and supportive of LGBT folk, even if we hadn’t identified as LGB ourselves. Just like the way all the posters here are with T folk.
He could have been dismissive or rejecting, even with a trans child. I respect his stance, whenever it has come to him.

I don't get OP. In all of those years making money in a dress, I never found him offensive to gays, or an enemy of gays. Did I miss something?

If he really held the community in such high esteem, he’d flash us his dick for Pride.

Oh, so that's what it took for him to finally be supportive. I can understand the need to speak out, then. Not like this is a trend or anything, of course.

I don't get you people. There is a difference between speaking out, being and advocate and being supportive. He was supportive before. But now he has a reason to speak out and be an advocate, an ally. What's wrong with that? It was not like he was going around badmouthing the gay community before.

r15 Having a "trans kid" has nothing to do with the gay community. Using that as his reason is disingenuous and insulting.

He should support the gay community and show us his hard dick.

They are in the alphabet soup. When people say they are supportive of the LGBT community, it includes L, G, B, and T. You may not care for it, but it is what it is.

R16, using that as his reason to what? I don't follow. What was he suppose to do before that he wasn't doing?

See r15 for "the reason" r20.

Funny R21. I am R15 AND R20. I just don't get why people are upset with him speaking out now.
It's like a parent learning sign language and becoming an advocate for the deaf after they give birth to a deaf child and people saying it's disingenuous because he didn't know sign language before. And why the hell are you insulted?

r22 Again, trans has nothing to do with being LGB. It's a mental disorder (gender dysphoria). I don't care if they've been added or not, they shouldn't have been. He took photos in a rainbow flag. That flag was not made for the T. They have a flag. He should've taken a photo in that.
