Many years ago my wife had a friend whose first husband left her, and being neither especially smart nor hardworking she became a stripper at Scores. She was a pretty girl, but flat chested so her shtick was that she was the body builder stripper. One day DLR came in and asked her out and they went on one or two dates and nothing beyond a kiss happened. She said he was a perfect gentleman. Make of that what you will.

He totally pings to me too, but as someone mentioned upthread, he briefly dated Apollonia from Purple Rain. She’s told the story many times of how Prince didn’t want it to get out that she was dating DLR because he wanted the public to believe the two of them were a couple. She’s the only woman I can think of that he was ever linked to relationship wise. Here’s a photo from Creem Magazine that they appeared in back then.

I thought he was hot in the 80s and 90s. Ironically a friend of mine at college loved him, and he himself was a closeted gay man, in love with his own best friend, but completely pretended otherwise.
