New development - full video has emerged showing that he was attacked first by multiple people and hit in the face with a bottle before defending himself. I dont know why charges were pressed against him or why he resigned

R365 this is not full video, we still don’t see the lead up to the interaction. You can never be honest lol. Charges were pressed against him becuase he violently attacked people and hurt them. He also lied about being “thrown to the ground” he did that to himself as we can now see. Read up on the varying degrees of assault charges, and why some types of assault are considered more seriously legally than others. For instance the police treat punching someone and breaking their nose (with intent) more seriously than making someone wet, and it might make more sense :)

It's not a video of the full incident, r366, but it seems to be the moment before any actual physical contact had started. He was holding what appears to be a shopping bag so was basically just on his way home. He was confronted by a hostile crowd that was jeering at him (perhaps they were arguing over Palestine/Israel) One of the crowd sprayed something on him, then he gave a small shove to the large person standing right in front of him. Someone then threw a glass bottle containing something that looks like tomato juice at him. He was being aggressively pushed around by a number of people. It's not a pretty situation on either side and is unfortunately the result of the horrible polarised atmosphere in the US today.
