If we’re talking olds who jumped in to cover 1960s (future) classics, I’ve always been partial to Tony Bennett’s cover of Stevie Wonder’s Ma Cherie Amour.

Chrissie Hynde’s take on The Beach Boys’ Caroline No.

Eccentric and borderline eerie, but wonderful.

I love Peggy. That's nice but you should listen to her version of Bridge over Troubled Waters.

Eldergay jazz vocalist Andy Bey’s version of Nick Drake’s River Man is beautiful and haunting.

Nina Persson's (from the Cardigans) cover of "The Bluest Eyes in Texas". I think it's lovely.

Johnny Cash sings Sting’s I Hung My Head as if it were written just for him.

It’s the opposite of Folsom Prison Blues: the story of a senseless murder, but this time he’s bleeding guilt and remorse.

"Train in Vain", Annie Lennox. And I LOVED the original, it's my favorite Clash song.

Op stop creating the same themed posts over and over. They sucked the first time.

Miley Cyrus absolutely butchering Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer."

In fact, that whole compilation album is one awful Talking Heads cover after another.

I don’t know much about Peggy Lee but I have admired her voice since hearing her sing the theme song to Johnny Guitar.

Peggy Lee was incredible. The Beatles loved her. She almost had a Beatles reunion when two of them showed up in the studio to play on her cover of Hard Day's Night.
