I’m thinking about it for various reasons was surprised I can’t find a thread about it. Anyone want to reminisce?

Was this the magazine known for outing people? Malcolm Forbes, right?

Mary Martin and Lena Horne busted a gasket when Outweek came out.

Luckily I’m sure those handy gals knew how to fix a gasket.

I subscribed to it for a year and a half of its two year existence.
It did a great job of reflecting the political dynamic at that time and it had a very different sensibility than The Advocate.
I liked their mix of writers/voices - both men and women - and their writing could be both angry and confrontational while also funny as hell. They also introduced a "queer" sensibility that was new and fresh.
Outweek was my absolutely favorite magazine to read at that time.
About a year after it ended, another NY based magazine called QW was around for about a year or so, and while it had its moments, it lacked the fire of Outweek.

I wish I kept more copies. I only have the final Pride 1991 edition.
