The tallest building in America is going to be right smack in the middle.

Somehow luxury is not the first word that comes to mind when thinking of Oklahoma City.

Will there be a casino in it? It looks like it would be easy to fly a plane into. There's nothing else around it.

A supertall building where there’s no shortage of space doesn’t make any sense.

The casinos have to be built on tribal property; I’m not sure if downtown OKC applies.
As an intermittent visitor to OKC, I just roll my eyes at the concept. Companies are not moving employees to Oklahoma because people won’t go, the education system is completely shit, and far right republicans turn people off.
Surprisingly, Oklahoma is a beautiful state, with parks and lakes everywhere.

Just in time for the next dustbowl!

Will no one tell Oklahoma that it's just better if they quash their dreams, all of them - big dreams, little dreams, half-assed dreams.
They already have the Price Tower sole Frank Lloyd Wright skyscraper in the world, in lovely downtown Bartlesville. You just drive an hour north from Tulsa, past the Land of Broken Dreams (Indian Reservation) and eventually there it is, in Bartlesville, or so they say.

Nobody will care. It’s still OKC.

Tornado Alley, what could go wrong?

The Price Tower is a mess. Its upkeep is high, and no one can keep a restaurant or anything going. Someone purchased it recently, sold the beautiful art inside in one single day, and is doing her best to “disappear”. The rooms are extremely tiny, built weirdly, air conditioning and elevator is wonky, it’s a money pit sadly.
If you’re ever in Bartlesville (hahaha) I highly recommend the Woolaroc museum, its art depicting Native Americans is outstanding.

Looks like a giant hypodermic needle. Perfect for the anti vaxxers there.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 7, 2024 6:55 PM |
And if Oklahoma City should get dull, you can always go over to Tulsa for the weekend!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 7, 2024 7:39 PM |
Because with automation and AI, they’re going to need lots of office space and luxury residences in a place where nobody is working.

Tornado alley has moved east. It’s now centered on Mississippi and Alabama.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 7, 2024 9:43 PM |
This is exactly what Oklahoma needs.
We're living in such a stupid era

Tesla is a failing company being held for ransom right now for $55B by a drug-addled fucking asshole, yet the overvalued stock has been holding steady at between $160-190 for months. This is reality, where nothing makes sense and 99.9% of people don’t know that Elon Musk has 10 children by various women, and his father had 2 children with his step daughter. Musk also claimed he was bullied in school. In fact he made fun Of a kid whose father committed suicide and the kid put Elon in the hospital.
This is who’s running our space program
