I disagree that Chloë is untalented. She's been genuinely great in some roles (I agree she deserved the Oscar for Boys Don't Cry; she was also hilarious and poignant as Nicki in Big Love). She's an untrained actor who learned on the job, but I think oftentimes those types are more interesting to watch. I think she's particularly underrated in Demonlover, a bizarre thriller starring Connie Nielsen and Gina Gershon. She plays Nielsen's bitchy and resentful assistant in the film, and she alternates between speaking English and French. She was really good in that movie.

Chole was great in her Poker Face episode and back when she was doing Big Love. She's not a chameleon but she's definitely a much more compelling actor than Kim Kardashian. I don't think they have anything in common. She was NOT the Kim Kardashian of 90s actors.

One of the problems with Capote vs. the Swans was that several of the Swans were Ryan Murphy's icons from when he was a young gayling, so they were mostly teen stars who had never had proper acting training. If they had had a better script they might have done more with their parts, but their parts were written as paper-thin, except for Babe Paley's--and of course the standout among the women by far was Naomi Watts (who was not a teen star).

R39 it's Olivier Assayas, so it's a bit out-there, but I think it's a great movie. I own the Arrow Films Blu-ray which is region B locked, but it is on the Criterion Channel if you use that (I've been impatiently waiting for them to do a Blu-ray and/or 4K release). Chloë infamously turned down the Selma Blair role in "Legally Blonde" to do this film.
