Mandy Moore's "In My Pocket"
This underappreciated jam was released on May 1st, 2001 as the lead single from her self-titled second studio album. The song completely underperformed on the US charts, barely reachind #2 on the Bubbling under Hot 100 chart. It faired better in Australia, where it reached #11 and was the 75th best performing single on that country in 2001.
Personally, I think this is her best song (and music video as well). I love that mix of bubblegum pop with middle-eastern sounds, that are also reflected on the video.
I wonder what's DL's take on this jam.

My sister thought she was saying panties instead of pennies.

I was just going to comment the same thing, R1.

Is it a JAM, or is it a BOP?

Love this song and I also love how classy her "sexy" image felt. She never went full on-slut, unlike Britney or Xtina.

She lost million$ trying to go the Good Girl route. Oops.
This is how it's done.

I kind of like the song, but it would have been much better if it had been sung by someone with a better voice
