A "slip-and-fall"?
Oh, dear.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 2, 2024 12:58 AM |
Op thinks foul play?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 2, 2024 12:59 AM |
Why didn't she have one of those "I've fallen but I can't get up" bracelets?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 2, 2024 1:01 AM |
She had such chemistry with Jethro. She clearly was smarter than Mr. Drysdale. R.I.P

I was at King’s Island the day they wrapped production of the Brady Bunch episode filmed there. The throngs were so noisy outside the sound stage, Ann B. was recruited to be the one to tell the crowd to knock it off and quiet down. The cheers of delight that initially greeted her immediately turned to indignant boos. My recollection-I was only eight at the time-is that Ann B. told the mob to fuck off!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 2, 2024 1:39 AM |
She was 88 but her pussy was a fresh out of the box 18.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 2, 2024 3:36 AM |
RIP Ann. All those years of cleaning up the Brady Boys' cum stained sheets and Marcia's bloody tampons. Old girl needed a rest.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 2, 2024 3:47 AM |
^^while that lazy bitch Carol sat around eating bon bons, getting her hair done and devising ways to seduce her stepson.

Was she fuck buddies with Bea Arthur?

Perhaps someone better at searching than me can find the last known photo of Ann B Davis?

Get up, Ann, we need you now more than ever.

I remember when 'The Brady Bunch' ended, there were plans to give Ann B Davis her own show. It was to be called 'Alice', and the premise was 'Alice' would leave California and head to Nashville to be a country singer. She stops off in Phoenix when her car breaks down, and gets a job at Mel's Diner as a waitress and a cruddy apartment waiting for her car to be fixed. She joins waitresses Vera and Flo, becomes their best friend, and hilarity ensues. With her is Bobby Brady, whom she reveals is her biological son with Mr. Brady, and his name is really 'Tommy'.
Ann B. Davis pulled out of the project - saying it sounded like a flop for a sitcom. She made a wise decision.

Esther and Richard Shapiro created the role of Alexis for Ann B Davis, but she was still determined to work exclusively in film.

She did this interview with Conan 30 years ago. She’d have been about 68 here.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 2, 2024 3:56 PM |
R3, she may have had one. Pushing the button doesn’t undo any damage caused by the actual fall.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | June 2, 2024 4:00 PM |
That bitch Alice had to come back and work for the Bradys. I could've had it all!
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 2, 2024 4:09 PM |
I saw her once in person in the late 70s, at the time she was living in some kind of religious community in Denver, she was speaking at a church in suburban Denver and my mother took me. I did get her autograph but lost that years ago, I was around 12 and have no memory of what she talked about.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 2, 2024 4:11 PM |

No, R18.

That interview with Conan was painful.
First, it only shows what an inexperienced, horrible TV host he was.
Second, it only shows she was a horrible guest to be interviewed.
Third, who decided to dress her up in a parachute ?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 2, 2024 4:33 PM |
She was up for the role of Louise Jefferson in The Jeffersons. However, producers wanted her to speak less “black” and more Mid-Western. She was game at first, then Gary talked her out of it while Lucy was getting vaginal rejuvenation surgery in Palm Springs.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 2, 2024 4:34 PM |
Did the "B" in her name stand for "Butch" ?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 2, 2024 6:59 PM |
Binary, R23. She was always quite outré. Off camera, even wore her beret in the shower.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 2, 2024 7:04 PM |
Great gal, my cousin Ann, but I think she had a thing for the ladies

Lucy was going to invite Alice and Sam over for a three-way, but Gary talked her out of it.

by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 2, 2024 7:35 PM |
I thought she lived in a religious community in Austin, TX? Did she move around to different religious communities?
I'm guessing it was some weird cult/commune that she was a part of.

[quote]My recollection-I was only eight at the time-is that Ann B. told the mob to fuck off!
That was her cousin Emma.

She really was a great actress. She could elevate the most meddling material.
And this was not middling material. The two best performers on the show and their best moment on the show.

Does the "B" in Ann B Davis stand for 'Bussy' ?
Asking for my friend Barry Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 2, 2024 10:33 PM |
R32 you tried.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 3, 2024 12:58 AM |
She was part of some Episcopalian religious community and yea, she did move around.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 3, 2024 1:08 AM |
Was Ann B Davis a lesbian or asexual? It never seemed clear to me.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 3, 2024 2:16 AM |
She barely tolerated the gayness of Rip Taylor on the Variety Hour due to her religious beliefs, so if she was indeed a lesbian syster, she never publicly let on.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 3, 2024 2:22 AM |
Definitely a carpet muncher but too repressed to act on it.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 3, 2024 2:40 AM |
Ann B Davis may have been a deeply closeted lesbian.

I always heard her pussy smelled like meatloaf because of her embarrassing habit of scratching the eczema.
But I'm not sure Robert Reed was completely reliable at that stage.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 5, 2024 3:29 PM |
There was a rumor when I was a kid that Ann B. Davis and Nancy Kulp were lesbian lovers.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 5, 2024 3:43 PM |
She may be my favorite tv housekeeper of all time but Flo from the Jeffersons was up there as well.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 5, 2024 3:52 PM |
R46 She had a great figure for a woman that age.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 6, 2024 12:05 AM |
R12- This is almost as funny as the thread about Lucy and all of the parts Gary talked her out of playing including the role of Rizzo in the 1978 movie Grease.
Alice could have played the part of the lesbian gym teacher in that movie.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 6, 2024 12:15 AM |
R41- No.
THE most harrowing thing was being forced to see Irene Cara's
RAISIN TITTIES in the 1980 hit movie FAME

Ann was one of the supporting players in an early '60s bus-and-truck company of BUS STOP starring Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay.

by Anonymous | reply 58 | June 6, 2024 1:20 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 59 | June 6, 2024 1:36 AM |
She did lots of dinner theater. Lloyd Schwartz (son of the Brady creator Sherwood Schwartz) wrote "The Nearlyweds" for her which he claimed was the 1st original play for dinner theater.
In those days, sitcom actors didn't make much money, so they had to keep working.

The opening of the Brady Bunch should have wrapped up showing the following words-
and Ann B Davis as
the LESBIAN
by Anonymous | reply 61 | June 6, 2024 4:37 AM |
"In those days, sitcom actors didn't make much money, so they had to keep working." I also get the impression that Schwartz was rather frugal, even for then.

They signed standard five year contracts (ditto Gilligan's Island). If they were able to cash-in, it would be have been negotiating for the reunion shows.
