Lies come easy for the young. We were warned away from it like it was death itself.

I had an ex who faked cancer. I figured out the diagnosis was false and got the hell out. I found out later that that fake diagnosis was dragged out on several occasions over the years.

Not sure what it was about—some pathological need for attention, I guess.
