Why? For the same reason it doesn’t kill Muslim loneliness , Jewish loneliness, disabled loneliness, neurodivergent loneliness. We’re a significant minority. 95% of the world is heterosexual.

He’s a good writer. But he’s writing about a narrow subsection of gay men as if they’re universal. Not everyone bothers with that subculture.

And yet he doesn’t dare to step on the real but third rail issue: gay men, especially white ones, aren’t allowed to have problems in the LGBTQ expanse. So no one gives a fuck or will do anything about gay men’s problems. We’re on our own and have to figure it out on our own, just like it’s always been.
