He's always been pro gay. His mother was a big influence. She was always setting up gay friends on dates. And he goes off about it often which is commendable considering his audience of numnuts and white trash.

R2 Pro gay? As far as I can remember in the 90s and early 00's all he did was sexualized and pornified lesbians.

He went to his cousin's lesbian wedding sometime in the aughts, and has been especially pro-gay since.
