Any gossip about Gordeeva and Grinkov, the Russian ice skaters?

Grinkov likes to get pegged.

They were in love and oh so talented.

Sergei Grinkov's sudden death at age 28 was among the true tragedies of figure skating.

I followed the entire heartbreaking saga at the time. How times have changed.

Stinkin’ Russians.

Ekaterina married Ilia Kulik after Sergei's death. They divorced and now she is married to David Pelletier.

Pelletier was a Canadian pair skater and was previously married to his partner Jamie Sale, who is a crazy QAnon loon these days.

They were magical skaters, tragic that he died so young.

So young.

He died at a beautiful place. I went to the 1980 Olympics and it was gorgeous.

I've always thought she resembles Natalie Portman.

It's funny she ended up with David Pelletier -- a Russian and a French Canadian. Not sure what they have in common other than the fact they were both pairs skaters. It's Pelletier's 3rd marriage, so we'll see how long this one lasts.

And she was against Sale and Pelletier getting the gold medal. Read THE SECOND MARK which goes into detail about the 2002 pairs scandal in Salt Lake City.

The last thing I heard about ilia kulik was that he was living in Dallas and coaching.

Gordeeva and Grinkovs daughter Daria is in her 30s now.

He reminds me of a Hollywood actor, but I can't recall who.

He reminds me of Stephen Baldwin but it might just be the mouth area.

Disappointed to hear that about Jamie Sale’.

Katia was quite the little minx in her younger days. Scott Hamilton and Kurt Browning both were in love with her and allegedly pitted them against each other to the point where Kurt would take a leave of absence from the SOI tour because tensions escalated. Oh, to be a heterosexual man in figure skating. Now she’s with Pelletier, who is known to be a hot tempered man. How long will this last?

I saw their costumes in the figure skating museum in Colorado. They were both so very tiny.

I’ve been a stan since the 90s and there is very little tawdry gossip about these two, so let me rack my brains for any items. I make no claims as to veracity.

-An LA Times article in 1988 reported that Sergei was thrown off a tour because of too much partying with Chris Bowman (RIP). I could never find anything about this…Katia wrote in her book that they didn’t go on this tour because she was tired.

-Oksana Gritschuk supposedly said they Katia fucked Alexander Zhulin while married to Sergei

-Scott Hamilton fired Kurt Browning from Stars on Ice for having an affair with Katia (she was single, Kurt was engaged)

-Gracie Gold’s recent memoir relates her sexual harassment from a recently divorced Russian skater that was probably Ilia Kulik

-Katia boinked her married partner in Russia’s version of Skating on Ice while going through a separation with Ilia that was brought on by his cheating (they later reconciled for a few years)

-obviously with what’s been revealed in Russian skating over the last few years, there are more questions over what could have really caused Sergei’s death

-their daughter looks like she could expire at any minute

Is it possible Sergei's cause of dead was actually a drug overdose and the heart disease story was concocted to avoid scandal?

R20 not impossible. I would believe it. Katia also sounds a bit domineering too. Not to mention manipulative. She sure had Scott and Kurt at each other’s throats.

I’m surprised whenever male professional ice skaters marry women.

Didn’t Alissa allegedly break us the marriage of Jason Dungjen and Yuka Sato? Alissa was lovely on the ice when she wasn’t falling down. Like a male Emanuel Sandhu. Wildly inconsistent.

Jason broke that marriage all on his own

Poor Yuka. I remember when the rumors about Jason and Alissa were all over the place and the three of them were sitting in Kiss &Cry at Nationals. Yuka was staring down at Alissa with daggers in her eyes. Jason could only stare blankly ahead.

Is Katarina Witt a lez?

I was told that Witt was in a LTR with Swiss skater Denise Biellman. She’s also been involved with men as well. She seems extremely independent and free spirited.

Their 1988 Calgary gold medal performance is one for the ages.

I liked Mishkutenok and Dmitriev much better in Lillehammer. More innovative and emotional.

R32 Dmietriev should be a 3-Time Olympic Champion... he and Natlia should have won over G&G, but the latter of course were the sentimental favorites.

Dmitriev was so big and sexy, like a hot bear. Yet so light on his feet.

Sergei would probably have be a fat, bald Putin supporter like his friends if he'd lived.

Beautiful figure skaters together. A cut above.

I've always assumed that pairs skaters who end up dating do so because they spent their entire lives together in very close proximity and had no time to meet other people.

They usually spend their entire adolescences together, groping each other through puberty, so naturally they'd eventually hookup for lack of other options.

M & D deserved the gold in 1994 Olympics!
