Arkansas HOA Tells Man to Trim His Bush, So He Shows His Giant Cock and Balls Instead

The shrubbery was concealing a stupid utility box, and after a long dialogue about it, he gave in to their demands and removed the bush.

But he replaced it with a giant, rainbow-colored rooster statue, and some balls on the grass. The HOA bylaws have no rule against lawn ornaments, so the neighborhood is divided over the issue.

I love my big red cock!

Good for him. The shrubbery was far more preferable and hid the utility box, which is hideous. But they played themselves.

Remember in the 80;s when people had yard ornaments of a fat old lady bent over? My grandmother HATED them, so my mother bought her one as a gag gift.

I thought this was going to be a story about a man exposing himself! For shame, OP, for shame!

It's telling that when you go onto that Jonesboro news website, you find in the upper right corner an advertisement for "Lice Clinics of America".

Some big homes in that area. I could see how it may block the view from traffic, but why not paint it something attractive or a greenscape?

I like what he did and I rarely support stupid HOA rules, but there was a middle ground here.

[quote]People have reportedly been slowing down to take photos, have expressed that he is “being disrespectful” by having the rooster in his yard, and one neighbor is upset because she had to explain to her children what it was.

Hard to believe this isn't from the Onion.

An HOA should have no power to enforce any rules whatsoever and should /never/ be allowed to collect fees.

by Anonymousreply 8May 26, 2024 6:56 PM

He sure coldcocked that HOA.

by Anonymousreply 9May 26, 2024 6:57 PM

Good for him! I need one of these for my yard. Maybe he started a trend.

R8 there is a middle ground, psycho. This a rare circumstance. They do keep people in line or you’d have people running casinos with 4 foot grass and rats everywhere. This might be an overreach but most people turn into pigs without some rules.

[QUOTE]one neighbor is upset because she had to explain to her children what it was.

[QUOTE]“I told the HOA ‘Why, would they tell the kids anything other than, ‘It’s a rooster!’?'”

Seriously! What are those people thinking?! I'm curious to know how she hemmed and hawed through that. Or maybe it was the HOA exaggerating to try to convince him to remove it?

Maybe the middle ground is to remove the sports equipment.

McMansion Hell. Check out the house of his neighbor at 3608 Lacoste Drive in Jonesboro.
