I work with a beauty distributor. We had one successful product line email us a few months ago to tell us they were over. They didn’t even sell it off, they just shut it down because it was being run by a nepo baby who was using it as a secondary bank account (it was the son of the guy who founded Redkin). AND the nepo baby of Paul Mitchell ended up dead in a pool in Hawaii and fucked everything up too.

Nepo babies are always disasters. Just look at monarchies. That’s why they don’t really exist anymore.

Why don't these parents encourage their kids to get an education? I know most of their parents are uneducated trash but I thought people wanted that for their kids especially if they didn't have it. Immigrant families are always proud when their first kid goes to college and encourage it.

I’m no critic, but I thought her singing was worse than what you’d hear in a typical middle school production. Usually there is a kid who can carry a tune. She was in the category of “good natured kid who is willing to take in a secondary part with a song even though they can’t sing.”

However (and I know this won’t be well-received), I thought she was adorable. It’s hard to suspend the outrage over her being cast, but she has charisma.

What I don’t understand is why they couldn’t teach her to sing at least a little bit better.

What was the context? Was this a charitable event where her presence helped to sell tickets? Or is the premise really supposed to be that she auditioned and got the part?

I think I would have disliked this performance no matter what. Not a fan of young kids who have been groomed as performers. But that’s just me. I know many are very talented and work hard and must feel very angry (rightfully) seeing this.

I finally watched this because I assumed people were just being mean. Wow. It is terrible. It is terrible even for a public school performance. The horrible singing could have been redeemed a bit by some good dancing, but she just stood in one spot swaying. That was super embarrassing.

Some of the mothers of kids who auditioned have spoken up. One woman said it was down to the final 3 or 4 kids, all of whom had done Broadway, and Kim came waltzing in with North. They all knew it was over then. Kim probably wrote a check to cover production costs or something.
