It's funny because it is so much like real life.
We all have lived it.

I love this movie. It's one of the few that I own, in hard copy and on Amazon Prime as well.
I didn't watch it until at least 2005. It matched up to ALL of my work experiences.
I have used - many times - several of the key pieces of dialogue in daily life/living. It still makes sense in many instances. Yes, I do quote it sometimes.

25 years later, and the film still holds up really well, even with the dated elements (the Y2K bug plot).
The only problem is the ending is kind of ... whatever. The office burning down feels like Mike Judge didn't know how to end the story.

Still fun to watch as this cutie pie with that accent wins some money by knowing "Office Space" trivia.

How great is character actor Stephen Root?
I just watched a fun but little seen indie from last year called Lousy Carter where he played a German psychiatrist. He was perfect. He was perfect in Office Space.
He's terrific in everything I've seen him in.

I liked his show Loudermilk. Ron was scruffy, but still doable.
He was best in Band of Brothers.

Same here; I had a boss that was obsessed with fonts so the beginning of the movie when he was being criticized for changing the fonts was too triggering for me. More than any particular line, I could just relate to the soulless of it all: the office, the restaurant and the bland/passive-aggressive corporate speak

They got TGI Friday down to a science. So many of those types of places with made of garbage food to sound exciting. Usually the only option nearby corporate office spaces. I can feel the pain of dying inside every time I drive by one of those places.

“Office Space” is indeed a classic when it comes to satirical takes on corporate life. Written and directed by Mike Judge, the film humorously captures the frustrations of working in a typical 1990s software company1. The story centers around Peter Gibbons (played by Ron Livingston), a disillusioned programmer who, after a hypnotherapy session gone wrong, decides to rebel against his mundane job and overbearing boss, Bill Lumbergh (played by Gary Cole)1. The film also features memorable performances by Jennifer Aniston as Joanna, Peter’s love interest, and Stephen Root as Milton, the mumbling office worker obsessed with his red stapler1. Despite its initial box office disappointment, “Office Space” gained a cult following, especially among IT professionals and anyone who has ever felt trapped in a cubicle1. Its themes of workplace dissatisfaction, corporate downsizing, and the absurdity of office culture resonate with many.

Mike Judge captures that soul-crushing suburban Texas life so well:
The shitty office park, the gigantic water tower behind the cookie-cutter POS house, the sitting in traffic for an hour morning and evening, the ugly apartment complexes with walls so thin your loser neighbor can yell through it…

The neighbor character is the best. “Well shit, you don’t need a million dollars to do nothing man. Look at my cousin. He’s broke, don’t do shit!”

The film is anti-capitalist propaganda that promotes laziness and a bad work ethic.
The industrious waiter is mocked and ridiculed.

I had a boss in my first job who would take all my reports and fold them in half and if the title wasn't perfectly centered would give them back to me to redo without looking at them. He became an alkie, and then a Trumper.

I worked in the same office park used for exteriors of the office in Austin a couple of years before the movie came out. I drove the same path as that guy to work.
I lived Office Space.

Agreed, r50! As a former temp I totally related to the plot. Plus it paired Lisa Kudrow up with her future TV sister-in-law, who was great in this.
