Dance Jeanie dance!

by Anonymousreply 1May 26, 2024 12:17 AM

And now we know where Julia Louis-Dreyfus drew her inspiration from for the "Elaine dance."

As bad as her acting.

by Anonymousreply 3May 26, 2024 1:23 AM

I thought it wasn't bad at all.

There's a "Spinning Wheel" performance she does that's far , far worse.

by Anonymousreply 4May 26, 2024 1:23 AM

I like this version better.

Oh, THERE'S a bad memory from the 70s - "Spinning Wheel"

I absolutely hated (still hate) that song. It was wrenching to the ear.

She started off in slow motion and then caught the rhythm. Love her. She's delicious. Has me questioning my Kinsey number.

by Anonymousreply 7May 26, 2024 1:37 AM

No one’s looking at her dance moves anyhow.

by Anonymousreply 8May 26, 2024 1:51 AM

Now that Heather's a Fall Guy kinda gal. Emily Blunt? WHY???

by Anonymousreply 9May 26, 2024 2:00 AM

Seriously. Heather Thomas was a honky-tonk, would-suck-your-unwashed-dick and let you cum all over her face kinda girl.

Emily Blunt? She's a we-can-only-have-sex-with-the-lights-off-and-sheets-between-us kinda girl.

Although, she did pull the Ruthie Pig Face Draper dance scene out of her ass in Dan in Real Life.

I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden, 92, was radiant on Thursday, May 23, while leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles. On her afternoon out with friends, Eden stood out in a cherry red blazer, elegant white top, black trousers and black-and-tan wedge sandals. She carried a large black purse and upped the glamour with a gold choker necklace featuring a black pendant and matching earrings.

Known for her bouncy blonde locks, she styled her shoulder-length hair into a chic half-up do.

Full-length photo.

This woman looks amazing at 92.

She must have incredible genes.

r11 I cant believe she still looks that good, she can probably still cut a rug

by Anonymousreply 13May 26, 2024 5:52 PM

R12: More likely "work" and tons of makeup.

by Anonymousreply 14May 26, 2024 7:14 PM

I prefer this one

I love her slow start then dance frenzy to Boogie Shoes!

by Anonymousreply 16May 26, 2024 10:43 PM

Well she is certainly more life-like than Joan Collins or Tina Louise.

And how or why does an aged actress have so many "assistants" hovering about? How much money could Barbara still have at this point? I imagine that old Lucy Ball story isn't paying for much these days.

by Anonymousreply 17May 26, 2024 10:45 PM

She looks 92 but in good shape. The stories she could tell about Hollywood. Heartbreaking about her son.

I respect this woman she's had a hard life despite her Fame. Do you realize in the 1960s she had to carry a dead fetus to term because at the time it was illegal for her to get an abortion because she was in her second trimester with a dead fetus? Let that sink in. She lost her son who was an aspiring pro bodybuilder due to heroin. Barbara is still alive, a testament to endurance and courage. Dance like no is watching take those small moments of pleasure and relish them.

by Anonymousreply 19May 26, 2024 10:58 PM

I dream of Jeanie reruns were a staple of my childhood

by Anonymousreply 20May 27, 2024 10:44 PM

So she was half of her current 92 years in 1978 (at age 46).

Does anyone know her exact age in this video?

by Anonymousreply 21May 29, 2024 7:06 AM

I think Barbara does fairly well for herself at conventions. She seems to be a popular guest.

by Anonymousreply 22May 29, 2024 7:13 AM

there was no shit she wouldn't eat to try to stay a star.

by Anonymousreply 23May 29, 2024 8:20 AM

R19: Pre-Roe it was not difficult to find a doctor who would perform an abortion and I would imagine that was particularly true in Hollywood where they would have been referral networks among talent agencies, actors, etc.

by Anonymousreply 24May 29, 2024 11:20 AM

R22: Any third-tier one-time actor with a pulse does well at those things. They're as worshipful of marginal talents as anyone here.

by Anonymousreply 25May 29, 2024 11:33 AM

Was Barbara's dance number from "Harper Valley PTA?"

by Anonymousreply 26May 29, 2024 11:59 AM

Barbara is just so cute! Even at 92.

by Anonymousreply 27May 29, 2024 12:07 PM

Leave barbara alone!

by Anonymousreply 28May 29, 2024 7:18 PM

I had no idea she was such a song 'n dance gal, doing Vegas-style shows like Mitzi Gaynor and Ann-Margret. I guess that was her main income after Jeanie.
