I was busy giving hand jobs to the cute dads whose families were participating.

I was 8 at that time, and don't remember anything about this.

I was handsing it up in Dupont Circle with my six best friends. We'd been to march after protest after memorial service, and it was nice just to stand in the circle holding hands. I miss these people.

Same as r2. I was also 8 and have no memory whatsoever. I can, however, remember the Challenger (from the same year) as if it were yesterday.

I worked on organizing it at my college. I wanted to participate as well, but that day was my college graduation. My mother put her foot down and said I couldn’t skip graduation.

I try to forget the embarrassingly cringe-y moments in my life, OP.

What about Hands Across Chrissy Metz

by Anonymousreply 8May 26, 2024 12:48 AM

This topic is exhausting.

by Anonymousreply 9May 26, 2024 12:52 AM

It was supposed to be the next big We Are the World/Live Aid type of event, but it didn't reach the heights. Though it will always have a place in Goldens Girls reruns.

Barbra did the video because she regretted turning down We Are the World and wanted to be seen as being a team player.

“We'd been to march after protest after memorial service”

Come again, R3?

by Anonymousreply 11May 26, 2024 4:58 PM

No way this would happen in 2024. We'd kill each other.
