Michael Corbett- veteran soap star & Vintage Beefcake
Michael Corbett was born on June 20, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He knew he wanted to be an actor from a young age but didn’t pursue it until after college. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, and after graduating attended the Boston Conservatory. Two weeks after he graduated from the Boston Conservatory he started off his Broadway career, with a role in Nefertiti. After that he played Kenicki in a production of Grease and then a role in the production of Come Back Little Sheba. After those roles he did the Off-Broadway play The Matinee Kids. It was during one of his Broadway shows that a casting director for the soap opera Ryan’s Hope was in the audience and took notice of him. The casting director offered him a role right away, and he was cast as Michael Pavel Jr. in 1979. He played the role from 1979 to 1981, when he decided to leave when his two-year contract was done.
In 1982 he was cast as Warren Carter in the soap Search for Tomorrow and played the role for 3 years. During these years he also did some guest spots on tv shows. In 1985 he left the show. In 1986 he joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as David Kimble, a secretary turned murderer. He played the role from 1986 to 1991. Throughout the 90s he did numerous guest roles on tv shows.
Starting in 2000, he began hosting the real estate and lifestyle segments for EXTRA on NBC. He was also the host and senior producer for Extra’s Mansions and Millionaires, and is the executive producer for Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry. He was also the long time real estate expert on Larry King Live! He makes appearances on shows such as The View, CNN’s Newsroom, EXTRA, Fox and Friends, HGTV, Discovery Channel, CBS NEWS, Today Show Australia etc. to discuss real estate and give advice.
He has done a few acting jobs in the 2000s/2010s as well, and in 2023 returned to the soaps for the first time since 1991, playing Judge Evan Scott for 4 episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful.
He has written three best selling books about buying and selling homes, and continues to work as a real estate expert.
He has appears in countless magazines during his soap days in the 80s into the early 90s. In 1989 he appeared on the cover of Playgirl magazine with an interview inside. NO, he did not appear nude. No need to ask.

R13 Yes. For the record Thom Bierdz outed Corbett in an interview back in 2003 wherein he also confirmed that Terry Lester was gay.
But locals in L.A. knew this.
His long term partner isn't in the entertainment business. I wasn't sure if they were still together, but just recently saw where the director of Project Angel Food in Los Angeles thanked the two of them for hosting him at their place out in Palm Springs. (MC has been a big public supporter of that charity over the years.) I also remember them hosting a fundraiser in Palm Springs for (gay) congressional candidate, Will Rollins, back in 2022.

Corbett is in his element in the Rich Burns, gay webseries, "The Disappointments," which Corbett helped co-produced.
His "mystery character" shows up as part of the Season 1 finale, and looks to have a more significant role in Season 2, which I have not watched; but he's featured in the trailer.
Some have described it as a gay "Golden Girls", and it does have its moments.
