Why would anyone think a J. Lo in Space movie would work.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 24, 2024 10:50 PM |
Ouch.
Hear that sound? It's Ben's car engine, racing away from her and off to Vegas for some gambling, booze and whores.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 24, 2024 10:51 PM |
Jlo still makes movies?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 24, 2024 10:51 PM |
That's why he didn't go to the premiere. He's an Oscar winner, for God's sake!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 24, 2024 10:56 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 24, 2024 11:41 PM |
I tried watching it. It's unwatchable.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 24, 2024 11:43 PM |
Thoughts and prayers for JLO. 2024 is not her year.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 24, 2024 11:49 PM |
There’s a JLo movie??
Why?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 24, 2024 11:51 PM |
Everyone is sick of her.

Career trajectory is aligned with Halle Berrys', without the Oscar.
Lots of hype, many duds.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 25, 2024 12:12 AM |
Okay I'm starting to feel a little sad for this bitch now. This is her horrible anus.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 25, 2024 12:12 AM |
She was actually a great actress, then she decided she wanted to be an icon.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 25, 2024 12:14 AM |
The thing is, it's her fault r16. She just SATURATED us with her for too long.
We're J-LO DRENCHED.
And we really don't like the feeling.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 25, 2024 12:14 AM |
Lopez can't catch a break lately, except she's supposedly worth $400 million...so that helps.
Ben Affleck is supposedly worth $150 million.

That’s playing a bit loose with reality.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 25, 2024 12:16 AM |
Good. Destroy her.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 25, 2024 12:39 AM |
Should we start a Go Fund Me for her?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 25, 2024 2:31 AM |
How about a reverse Go Fund Me, in which she could PAY people to watch her movie and act like they liked it!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 25, 2024 2:41 AM |
The girl can’t do anything. I almost hate her as much as MM.

8%! That's embarrassing. Even for her.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 25, 2024 6:06 AM |
Is this J. Lo's Trog?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 25, 2024 6:09 AM |
She really hasn’t had a lot of success with films for the past 15 years. “Hustlers” was her biggest movie and was considered her comeback but that was short lived once she was snubbed by the Oscars (honestly, rightfully so).
And she’s been a flop musically forever.
It was the new album / movie / documentary tie in that really did her in. Had she not done that, failures like this would have gone under the radar like they always do for her.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 25, 2024 6:13 AM |
My, how the worm begins to turn!
When will the chorus girl ever learn?

TMZ caught her taking a selfie in front of her Atlas billboard. The delusions run deep.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 25, 2024 7:43 AM |
Perhaps she should try to bundle a Netflix subscription, a front row VIP seat for her concert, and a bottle of Glow and sell it for $3.75………..and add a 40% off coupon. hehehehehehe
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 25, 2024 7:53 AM |
She's in Norma Desmond territory
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 25, 2024 8:02 AM |
JLo and sci-fi? Her agent needs to be fired. Pick roles that are more in your lane eg
Plucky Latina Mom with dying kid fighting for experimental treatment
feisty blue collar worker who falls in love with her new boss after 90mins of fighting
Unlucky in love single Mom starts a new business planning divorces!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 25, 2024 8:10 AM |
Another pic from TMZ. Ben is smart to remove himself from this shit show.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 25, 2024 8:12 AM |
Ben's been letting his little Ben out all over the place. It gets around--a lot of freedom.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 25, 2024 8:21 AM |

She's one of those people I can never figure out why/how she came to be famous - let alone the depth of fame in her own mind.

If Rotten Tomatoes can be an barometer of acclaim then JLO's movies have been largely crap
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 25, 2024 10:40 AM |
Incidentally, I've always found it interesting that Jennifer Lopez (b. July 24, 1969) is actually two years OLDER than Selena (b. April 16, 1971).
Usually, actors are much younger than their biopic subjects.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 25, 2024 10:50 AM |
R43 but not always..
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 25, 2024 10:55 AM |
What Anglo name does she have in this movie?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 25, 2024 11:47 AM |
Her character's name is Atlas Shepherd.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 25, 2024 11:52 AM |
Watched it last evening. Very meh. J-Lo’s character was annoying and too screamy. I didn’t like Mark Strong either whom I usually really enjoy. He seemed so stilted likely because he was consumed in trying to do an American accent. It was technically ok but lacked personality and emotion. His acting fell over in the process.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 25, 2024 11:53 AM |
She had my sympathy until I clicked on r37.
I commented on the other thread about how JLO is no different than any other human being having to come to terms with aging and irrelevance and I imagine it's more acute when you're gorgeous.
But that message on the billboard is really just stupid, banal, and, well, kinda pitiful in its desperation.
It wants us to presume somebody would care enough to "fuck" with her.
But it's obvious as neon that non-reaction to her, except those who want to dance on the grave of her career, is worse than hate- massive indifference.
She had a good run.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 25, 2024 12:00 PM |
R48 I wouldn’t even consider it a good run. She’s taken what rightfully should be 15 minutes of fame, and stretched it thin over 30 years, and only has one golden globe nomination to show for it. She’s a mediocre actress and singer and is better known for that peek a boo Grammy dress and her multiple failed marriages than anything else.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 25, 2024 1:17 PM |
Can't she just stay home and count her money for a few years?

by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 25, 2024 1:28 PM |
2 Golden Globe nominations R49!
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 25, 2024 1:47 PM |
She did get a lot of critical nominations for Hustlers, did she get snubbed for an Oscar nomination because she's disliked by people? She certainly gave a better performance in a more demanding role than the winner that year, Laura Dern, who tottered around in huge stilettos for a few scenes in Marriage Story, spouting misandrist claptrap.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 25, 2024 1:50 PM |
R52 I stand corrected. Plus an Emmy nomination for variety special for her Super Bowl performance in 2020. Still not much to show for decades in the business.
R53 the acting branch was just indifferent to her work. She’s probably made a few enemies in the industry, but not enough to make a difference in the voting of the five best performances. She was always going to lose to Dern, whom I love but it was a career Oscar that she won for. Even if she would’ve gotten into the five, I can’t see her career trajectory being anything different than it is right now, and her being flooded with scripts.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | May 25, 2024 2:02 PM |
r49, what you post is why I say she “had a good run.”
She took her minimal talent and maximal gorgeousness and through sheer relentless drive, discipline, determination and desire to make herself famous and wealthy achieved that.
Now, one can find her distasteful and lament that many try with far greater talent and reasons to get where she is but live in on in obscurity.
But the fact that we’re even posting about her now is proof that she had a good run.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | May 25, 2024 2:28 PM |
Well at least she's has that big tour coming up to -- oh wait.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | May 25, 2024 2:32 PM |
R55 you could argue just about the same for the Kardashians. But no one respects any of them. JLo is barely one step above them.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | May 25, 2024 2:45 PM |
Wow! Our girl is really on a roll, isn’t she?

by Anonymous | reply 61 | May 25, 2024 3:10 PM |
Still don't know why J. Lo (who is Puerto Rican) and can't sing or act was cast as the late legendary Mexican singer Selena.
The movie was soap operaish at best and yet 99% of the entire hispanic/latino community still praise J. Lo's "phenomenal Oscar worthy performance" to this day and consider her to be the definitive portrayal of Selena.
J. Lo clearly sold her soul and sucked as many cocks as she could. Only explanation. I'm glad she's taking major hits mainly due to her being a nasty POS who was majorly associated with P. Diddy who is an even bigger POS.

I wonder how many times Puffy slapper her around, made her take drugs and engage in group sex?

r57 You don't understand what "a good run" means
by Anonymous | reply 66 | May 25, 2024 5:27 PM |
Jen Garner must be cackling into her glass of Merlot.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | May 25, 2024 5:39 PM |
R66 you don’t understand there’s more to life than being hot, making money and how YOU define a good run. If JLo could choose an alternate universe which do you think she would choose in the entertainment industry? Her current self, the music career of Beyoncé, or a two time Oscar winning actress. I seriously doubt it would be the first one.

Agree, r66.
I'm too lazy right now to explain why "she had a good run" is an apt description of JLo's career.

8 is J Lo's lucky number. 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. $8 concert tickets. 8 divorces.
