Watched it last evening. Very meh. J-Lo’s character was annoying and too screamy. I didn’t like Mark Strong either whom I usually really enjoy. He seemed so stilted likely because he was consumed in trying to do an American accent. It was technically ok but lacked personality and emotion. His acting fell over in the process.

She had my sympathy until I clicked on r37.

I commented on the other thread about how JLO is no different than any other human being having to come to terms with aging and irrelevance and I imagine it's more acute when you're gorgeous.

But that message on the billboard is really just stupid, banal, and, well, kinda pitiful in its desperation.

She did get a lot of critical nominations for Hustlers, did she get snubbed for an Oscar nomination because she's disliked by people? She certainly gave a better performance in a more demanding role than the winner that year, Laura Dern, who tottered around in huge stilettos for a few scenes in Marriage Story, spouting misandrist claptrap.
