Mark Christopher Collier was born on May 27, 1971 in Boynton Beach, Florida. His father was a CPA and his mother was a nurse. They moved to Ocala, Florida when he was a child and that is where he grew up.
Collier had a passion for acting from a young age, and because of that began working in local theater productions at the age of 10, and he enjoyed it for a few years but when he became a teenager things changed a bit.
When Collier entered High School he no longer cared for drama or acting and gained a passion for sports. He was a star athlete in wrestling and soccer throughout his time in HS. After graduating HS he attended Georgia Southern University where he partied hard but still did well. He was a Fraternity brother, and joined Sigma Chi Fraternity, where he later became president. He graduated with a degree in accounting.
After a few years of working, he regained his desire to act. At the age of 28 he quit his job and moved to Los Angeles to begin studying acting and get himself auditions. While in LA he worked three jobs to support himself while also studying. He ended up becoming a member of the Blue Sphere Alliance theater company.
Shortly after becoming a member, he got his first role, a recurring part on the soap opera Sunset Beach in 1998. He appeared in 8 episodes. He then got cast in a Dixie Chicks music video, followed by Guest spots on Beverly Hills 90210, and CSI:Miami. However, in 2002 he would finally land a solid role.
In 2002 he was cast as Mike Kasnoff in the soap opera ‘As The World Turns’. He was the second actor to play the role. He relocated to NYC and worked on the show from 2002-2007, and in 2004 he earned himself a Supporting Actor Emmy nomination for his work on the soap. In 2007 he decided to leave the soap, but returned in 2009 for an appearance. After leaving the soap in 2007 he moved back out to California, where he preferred.
In 2013 he joined the cast of ‘Days of Our Lives’ in a recurring role. He played the character Liam Frazer for 39 episodes.
After leaving Days he has been mostly in tv commercials, guest spots and a couple of low budget films and has appeared in numerous small plays. He loves the theater and puts the theater before television or films.
While he lived in NYC to film ‘As The World Turns’ he complete a two-year Meisner program taught by William Esper, and he also attended the Actors Movement Studio.
He is 5’10 and an avid reader. He will be 53 in a few days. Mark is of Danish, English, and Irish descent. His hobbies are traveling, cycling, photography, singing, dancing, surfing, fishing, painting, and horse riding. He is an epicure of Spanish, Japanese, Mexican, and Italian cuisines.
He is super private when it comes to his family. He has never given much info on his parents or siblings, and he married his longtime girlfriend in a very private ceremony. He has never even revealed her name to the public. He has no social media. No one knows if they’ve had children even.
