Too gay?
He was very good in the Kingsman: Secret Service movies
I haven’t seen him in anything else. But he was very charismatic in those movies (and very cute!)
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 15, 2024 9:09 PM |
He peaked with Rocketman. Hasn’t had much luck since.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 15, 2024 9:10 PM |
He was nominated for an Emmy, BAFTA, SAG and Golden Globe last year for Blackbird.
He has a Netflix thriller coming up and another Apple TV drama.
His career is doing just fine.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 15, 2024 9:21 PM |
I like him. Cute.

R8 that's a cute throuple.
Not sure where he's been, but I want to see more of him.

Love his shirt r8.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 15, 2024 9:50 PM |
He does not seem to be having fun r11.

Sexy and talented.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 15, 2024 9:58 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 15, 2024 10:22 PM |
Gayface at R8?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 16, 2024 7:33 PM |
He was so obviously drooling over Jackman in those memes. Poor boy was dickmatized.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 16, 2024 7:36 PM |
He's too short to play Bond, and he knows it. He took himself out of consideration because it will never happen and he doesn;t want to come across as someone who wanted that role and didn't get it (like Rupert Everett 20 years ago).
He's absolutely gorgeous, and the camera loves him. But he's a little short (at 5'9") to play an A-list superhero (other than Spider-Man, but he's too old for that part now), and with that muscular body and that jawline he's pretty much stuck with playing jocks and superheroes. He would be a great choice to replace Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, but he will mostly have to play B-list superheroes, I'm afraid.

There is no such thing as “too gay.”
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 2, 2025 9:04 PM |
Taron isn't gay.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 2, 2025 9:08 PM |
By name I get him confused with Ansel Elgort.
I haven't seen either's films.

This is the little homosexual boy they want to play Bond?!

by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 2, 2025 9:56 PM |
Maybe his name was off-putting to the masses? It's never a good idea to keep an "egg" in your name. I mean, just look at Nicole Eggert's career.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 2, 2025 10:02 PM |
He’s in Smoke on AppleTV which is streaming currently.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 2, 2025 10:07 PM |
Apparently, they are considering Tom Holland for Bond. He’s quite short.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 2, 2025 10:29 PM |
R32, an under-30 Bond sounds idiotic and unrealistic in today's times.

Total cutie pie—but he seems to be falling into the character actor category instead of the leading man one
by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 3, 2025 2:17 AM |
I watched two episodes of Smoke. I'm surprised he's only 35. He looks early 40s in that show. Kind of plain, imo.

by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 3, 2025 4:38 AM |
I'd still like to know why he suddenly left the play "Cock" (opposite Jonathan Bailey) in London a couple of years ago. But everyone seems to have taken a vow of silence.

by Anonymous | reply 43 | August 4, 2025 8:04 PM |
He works constantly, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | August 4, 2025 8:09 PM |
He seems to be doing great in Smoke. He got really lean and ripped a while back, for those Kingsman movies, and I think the low body fat might be aging. (How Matt Bomer has done it, I don't know. Aging portrait somewhere?)
by Anonymous | reply 45 | August 4, 2025 8:26 PM |
His hair is rapidly leaving his head. He was on the Today show, his body was hot even in the jumper he was wearing.

by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 4, 2025 8:42 PM |
He's continuing to get A-/B+ type projects with other name actors so I guess he's doing fine.
I doubt he's suddenly going to spring into A+ superstardom but he'll have a dependable steady career as a lead in smaller things and supporting in bigger things. Apparently, he's a nice guy and a talented actor so unless he fucks up or decides to do something else, he'll have a lifetime career as an actor.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 4, 2025 8:48 PM |
He was totally smitten with Hugh when they did promo on the movie. Not that I can blame Taron.
I bet they had wonderful sex in many a hotel room after doing their joint interviews.

I'll bet it was that old HAG Deborra Lee Furness, who put a stop to it.
Taron had some serious "come fuck me" eyes directed at Hugh at R22.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 4, 2025 8:57 PM |
Poor Taron will never be able to escape these gifs.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 4, 2025 9:01 PM |
He lost hair thanks to the roids he used to get back in shape after Rocketman.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 4, 2025 9:30 PM |
Or, he just lost hair because he's getting older...like many men in their 30s.

Taron thought it was the real deal. Sad. Not the biggest Eggerton fan but he didn't deserve how badly he was treated during the breakup. Now neither one has a decent movie career.

Currently watching him in Smoke....which is not good.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | August 5, 2025 12:29 PM |
Smoke is a wild show - and like a lot of Dennis Lehane stuff, I still can’t decide if it’s any good or not. It’s definitely entertaining. And Egerton is REALLY serving ham in it, but he is playing a crazy secret arsonist, so I guess that tracks. At first his performance was annoying, but after the reveal that he’s a secret psycho, it’s growing on me. Leguizamo is also chewing the scenery like crazy. Greg Kinnear is really good and understated in it though, per usual.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | August 5, 2025 1:38 PM |
Smoke started well then got dull but the last few episodes have been better. It probably should have been a six episode series and not nine. I’m not really sure I buy Egerton in the role, though. One scene early on where his mask slips while talking to his wife and stepson felt awfully cartoonish. I imagine another actor might have brought a little more nuance to the role.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | August 5, 2025 1:49 PM |
He bulked up for his new movie She Rides Shotgun
by Anonymous | reply 67 | August 5, 2025 2:16 PM |
Butching it up nicely.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | August 5, 2025 2:29 PM |
The hairloss could be from the steroid use. You can see he has chest acne in some shots, a indicator of roids. He needs a better trainer. HGH/tren would pack on the muscle faster and be less obvious. Tren and Clen would get him shredded. Sure it would rev up his heart to 300 bpm but hey that's show biz!.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | August 5, 2025 3:39 PM |
He’s a cutie. Great body. Great jawline.
But I watched about 20 minutes of Smoke and couldn’t be bothered to continue.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | August 5, 2025 3:45 PM |
I saw the TSA movie he did for netflix. It was okay but I would not have paid for for it.
by Anonymous | reply 71 | August 5, 2025 3:49 PM |
R64 R65 R66 The actor on Smoke whose name I can neither spell nor pronounce is mesmerizing and steals the show. He plays the second arsonist who works at the chicken restaurant. His scenes are bone-chilling and elevate the material. He’s the MVP of the series, IMO.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | August 5, 2025 4:31 PM |
Damn, Hugh Jackman pounded the hell out of his tight ass.
Hugh had Taron during his best Twink years.
I wonder who's banging him now?

[quote] Wolverine vs Deadpool was one of the biggest hits of last year...
I said CAREER.. Without the Wolverine costume all Hugh Jackman churns out is garbage and box office duds. And some very expensive ones at that.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | August 5, 2025 6:47 PM |
Egerton was peak beauty in the first Kingsman movie. I recently saw him in an old episode of Inspector Lewis, it was only the second or third thing he’d done. It was from 2012 I think, so he was around 22. Was adorable in that too, but very skinny.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | August 5, 2025 6:48 PM |
He's actually my movie star crush. He was in a big Netflix movie, with Jason Bateman, who was my teenage crush.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | August 5, 2025 7:31 PM |
R74 I love debunking stupid broad statements!
The Greatest Showman.....huge hit.
Les Misérables....huge hit.
The Prestige and Prisoners....both modest hits but also critically acclaimed.
Happy Feet...animated voice role, but...they count!! Huge hit.
He's had a respectable career in film.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | August 5, 2025 7:55 PM |
Funny, R72. I think that guy is giving a terrible performance. Every scene is him with his mouth agape, speaking in this raspy drawl that is the worst stereotype of "poor black man in a movie."
by Anonymous | reply 78 | August 5, 2025 8:31 PM |
I think he’s been great in Smoke. The series started off slow, but the last 2-3 episodes released have been excellent. He’s definitely wearing a wig, which is distracting.
Side note, he was recently in Sydney filming something. My friend was out for his birthday and late at night ran into Tarron at a bar. He was with a couple of ladies and was really friendly. / accommodating of my friend (who was drunk / high), so full points for that encounter.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | August 5, 2025 9:03 PM |
Jackman is also selling out in Broadway. He is very much A-list. He could probably make Marvel movies the rest of his life and be set.
