by Anonymousreply 69May 19, 2024 4:09 PM

Whodunnit?

by Anonymousreply 1May 15, 2024 4:15 PM

DL will call the perpetrator before anybody else.

by Anonymousreply 2May 15, 2024 4:27 PM

[quote]Whodunnit?

Apparently his name is Juraj Cintula, a 71-year-old liberal writer and activist.

by Anonymousreply 3May 15, 2024 4:27 PM

Just for the record, the victim is a well-known Putin-licking homophobe.

by Anonymousreply 4May 15, 2024 4:31 PM

What’s the political leaning of the PM?

by Anonymousreply 5May 15, 2024 4:33 PM

He's a right-wing nut, R5. Loves Orban.

by Anonymousreply 6May 15, 2024 4:34 PM

Ok

by Anonymousreply 7May 15, 2024 4:48 PM

Xitter will go berserk. The Putin bots will be xitting themselves over this

by Anonymousreply 8May 15, 2024 6:05 PM

Damn, Gramps was ready to go out on a high note!

Slovakia is a gorgeous country. Too bad they're quite homophobic.

by Anonymousreply 11May 15, 2024 10:04 PM

Gavrilo Princip?

by Anonymousreply 12May 15, 2024 11:54 PM

How will this affect the output from Bel Ami Studios?

by Anonymousreply 13May 16, 2024 2:56 AM

Shot five times in the torso at point-blank range. The chances of survival seem low.

by Anonymousreply 14May 16, 2024 5:41 AM

His tongue is firmly attached up Putin's asshole R5.

by Anonymousreply 15May 16, 2024 6:14 AM

The Slovenian Deputy PM has announced that he is not in a life threatening condition and is expected to survive R14.

Turns out he's a nasty homophobe:

"In 2023, Fico referred to adoption by same-sex couples as a perversion, stated that he would never support same-sex marriage: "gender ideology in schools is unacceptable".

[quote]Slovakia is a gorgeous country. Too bad they're quite homophobic.

Ironic, considering how many of their young men appear in gay porn, like Bel Ami.

by Anonymousreply 18May 16, 2024 6:33 AM

Where is our Juraj Cintula?

by Anonymousreply 19May 16, 2024 6:35 AM

IMO, Slovakia's Tatra Mountains rival the Alps -- with a fraction of the cost and crowds.

by Anonymousreply 20May 16, 2024 6:54 AM

He is not right winger. You are translating European politics in American. He is Putin loving homophobe, but he actually comes from left wing.

by Anonymousreply 21May 16, 2024 7:30 AM

His party Smer is successor of the communist party of Slovakia.

by Anonymousreply 22May 16, 2024 7:33 AM

right-wing= illiberal. He's a right-wing politician just like Orbán, Netanyahu, Meloni, Trump and Sunak. It doesn't matter if his party's predecessor had the word "communist" in the name. The left/right political spectrum absolutely exists outside the US. Stop trying to gaslight everyone with your idiocy, r21.

by Anonymousreply 23May 16, 2024 7:49 AM

Thinking the war in your neighbouring country is crazy and is having a negative impact on your country does not make one a "Putin licker".

If Orban and Fico are nationalists then they can't love each other.

In r23's opinion, Fico's attempted murderer is a liberal.

by Anonymousreply 24May 16, 2024 8:00 AM

R23 you are stupid American (sorry for being political incorrect), who think that the whole world is Kansas.

Have you ever heard of Fidel Castro. He was pretty homophobic -persecuting gay men and putting them in concentration camps, he was very close to Russia and the enemy of US. He was very illiberal, he outlawed political pluralism and introduced one party system.

Do you call him right winger too?

What about Xi Jinping? Rather illiberal guy. And Kim Jong-Un?

Dorothy, world is much wider and more diverse than Kansas.

by Anonymousreply 25May 16, 2024 8:20 AM

Is this where Vairst Letty is from?

by Anonymousreply 26May 16, 2024 11:12 AM

No R26. She's from Slovenia (when she was born in 1970 it was part of Yugoslavia).

by Anonymousreply 27May 16, 2024 11:28 AM

[quote]The Slovenian Deputy PM has announced that he is not in a life threatening condition and is expected to survive

Oh, dear.

by Anonymousreply 28May 16, 2024 11:52 AM

[quote]Thinking the war in your neighbouring country is crazy and is having a negative impact on your country does not make one a "Putin licker".

Welcoming a brutal Russian annexation of a neighboring country and insisting the Ukrainians capitulate to "avoid war" certainly makes one a Putin licker.

[quote]If Orban and Fico are nationalists then they can't love each other.

Oh, they've been better able to reconcile than your narrow schematism can suppose. From Wikipedia:

[quote]By 2022, Fico's relationship with Orbán's government in Hungary had warmed considerably. In 2022, Fico welcomed Orbán's re-election in Hungary, praising his nationalistic approach and stance on the Russo-Ukrainian war. Similarly, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó welcomed Fico's return to office in 2023, noting "Robert Fico has the same views on the war, migration and gender issues as us".

by Anonymousreply 29May 16, 2024 12:11 PM

Does Fico have a FICO score?

by Anonymousreply 30May 16, 2024 12:15 PM

R16 Why wouldn't Slovenian Deputy PM be excepted to survive? What happened to him?

by Anonymousreply 31May 16, 2024 12:18 PM

Can Ukrainian special forces get absolutely nothing done?

by Anonymousreply 32May 16, 2024 12:19 PM

Her R31. She announced that Fico was expected to survive his gunshot wounds.

by Anonymousreply 33May 16, 2024 12:21 PM

R20 the Alps include 82 peaks over 4000 meters. The highest mountains in the Carpathians are 2,500-2,700 meters.

by Anonymousreply 34May 16, 2024 12:21 PM

r33 Slovenia and Slovakia are not the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 35May 16, 2024 12:58 PM

Somalia, Slovakia, Moussaka, Samoa. I can't keep them straight! Which one has the chocolate and cows?

by Anonymousreply 36May 16, 2024 1:45 PM

Yes! Thanks R35. Slovakian I meant. Sorry about that. How embarrassing. It's in the thread title too.

by Anonymousreply 37May 16, 2024 2:00 PM

I figured Fico was allied with Putin when, the first news I heard about it came with [anti-violence] comments from Zelensky.

What was really notable about the assassination attempt was that Fico had a security guy on either side of him, but they still let him get shot FIVE times by a guy right in front of them all. I guess his Secret Service wasn't very committed to taking a bullet for him.

by Anonymousreply 38May 16, 2024 2:00 PM

And the world inches closer to WWIII. Reminds me of the murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Bosnia and how it set off WWI.

by Anonymousreply 39May 16, 2024 2:31 PM

R36, isn't one of 'em a girl scout cookie?

by Anonymousreply 40May 16, 2024 3:50 PM

Shlovakia

by Anonymousreply 41May 16, 2024 3:54 PM

Well, except that he's not dead, R39. He also isn't the heir to the most powerful empire in Europe.

by Anonymousreply 42May 16, 2024 4:02 PM

[quote]heir to the most powerful empire in Europe

Bah!

by Anonymousreply 43May 16, 2024 4:18 PM

May he die a thousand times, then get an infection and die again.

by Anonymousreply 44May 16, 2024 4:57 PM

Schlovenia

Funny how Americans like R23 have no idea what is going on in the world.

He has no idea that hypocrite US Democrat party is supporting various right wing allies in Europe. Croatian conservative prime minister, who has formed the new government with far right partners is Biden's administration darling. They don't care about his illiberal politics, persecution of free press and his ultra homophobic, nationalist partners with whom he has formed a coalition, as long as he supports American interests.

On the other hand, the president (president in Croatia is more of a representative figure) who is social democrat, is closer to Russia (which I don't approve), but he is gay friendly and socially liberal politician.

by Anonymousreply 48May 17, 2024 11:41 AM

[QUOTE]He has no idea that hypocrite US Democrat party...

Do you have any inkling how Prigozhin bot farm this sounds?

by Anonymousreply 49May 17, 2024 12:16 PM

You sound brainwashed R49. Prigozin is dead and right wing Croatian government is one of strongest Biden's allies in south east Europe. Croatia was among only 14 nations that backed US in UN on the ceasefire in Israel issue.

by Anonymousreply 57May 17, 2024 9:04 PM

Interesting fact is also that homophobic party HDZ that is Democrat party's ally took an active part in banning gay marriage, while US enemy Milanovic passed the bill that secured gay rights.

by Anonymousreply 58May 17, 2024 9:16 PM

But, it seems thst young generations in US have realized how Dems are phony and supporting dictatorships and wars.

by Anonymousreply 59May 18, 2024 5:33 AM

Why doesn't r50 get it? He/it was given plenty of opportunities to realize that his speech and broken grammar mirrors the Russian Federation onslaughts.

It was given constructive criticism concerning its role and how to better execute misinformation on the part of his boss, yet we got ignored us giving you hints?

You need to stop sounding like someone has a rifle up your ass and you're pleading.

by Anonymousreply 60May 18, 2024 7:45 AM

Right, my broken grammar is the problem, not the broken lives of victims of Dem's allies.

by Anonymousreply 61May 18, 2024 8:41 AM

[quote]He has no idea that hypocrite US Democrat party

Stopped reading. FFd.

by Anonymousreply 62May 18, 2024 8:44 AM

Your lack of clarity is the problem, r61. Cloudy, yet strident.

by Anonymousreply 63May 18, 2024 8:47 AM

R63 my English may be less than perfect, but I think that everyone could understand my point on corporate puppet that is Democratic party.

While they are scaring people of Trump's racism, they are are supporting their ally Israel in ethnical cleansing of different ethicity. While they are screaming about Trump's homophobia they are completely fine with their Balkanic darling's ministers threatening to stop the lgbtq "perversion".

While I am completely against anti-semitism that raised its' ugly head on US campuses, I am glad that youngsters are becoming aware of the hypocrisy and manipulation.

by Anonymousreply 66May 19, 2024 12:12 PM

R25 the thing is, Kansas is very conservative, so they would agree with you.

You should pick an ultra-liberal state like California or New York, who live in their 'woke' bubble and do think like that despite claiming to be worldly.

by Anonymousreply 67May 19, 2024 12:34 PM

Are there expensive Slovak whores?

by Anonymousreply 68May 19, 2024 3:10 PM

R68, you are think of Slovenian poosey, very top quality, only billionaire can afford.
