'House of the Dragon' season 2

Renewed for another season, no surprise.

Did anyone watch last night? It was pretty good.

Nobody did. No one.

Looks like a video game. Even worse than The Acolyte.

Tonight’s episode was excellent. The show is getting better.

I've seen Season One. Was bored.

Is this the official thread for Season 2?

A friend was telling me how good this is. He said as good as Game of Thrones which I found pretty surprising.

What do others think?

The fight scene tonight was certainly as good as anything on HOTD.

R9 the first season was definitely far inferior to Game of Thrones. The story isn’t as engaging—but neither is the source material. The first season of Game of Thrones is almost exactly like the first wonderful book of the series. House of the Dragon books are unreadable. The acting is all around fantastic. The first four episodes of House of the Dragon were very good, and then there were some time jumps which made the viewers feel disengaged. So far, Season two is moving at a much slower pace and it is much better.

I tried to get into it because I was a big GoT fan, but I wasn’t able to. The budget for production is obviously smaller as well. That’s not why I didn’t like it, but it makes the story being compelling early on more important.

I thought last night’s episode was one of the best in the series.
