Think it was mostly Trumpkins following him and his mouthpiece, Fox “News,” because Trump thought being a president during a pandemic made you a “loser president.”

The real problem was, being a president during a crisis means you have to ask people to be adults and make sacrifices, and he knew his supporters weren’t capable of that. So he pretended the pandemic didn’t exist.

The good ol days when Anderson Cooper was telling people not to worry but just get their flu shots and Nancy Pelosi was telling people to go ahead and congregate in Chinatown

The difference is that Cooper and Pelosi said those things at the very beginning of the outbreak, when nobody knew anything. Trumpkins were denying the reality of the situation long after it became clear.
