California Libertarianism 101

A man is told that his boat is an eyesore and must be obscured by a tall fence

The man complies and builds the fence but has a muralist paint a trompe l’oeil of the boat on the fence.

Wish there was a poll to go with it. I'm with the boat owner on this one.

I'm not sure where the OP is getting "libertarianism" from this.

It's hilarious. There are probably dozens of such boats in a seaside town like Seaside, CA. Did EVERY boat owner get told to build a fence?

Sounds more like some neighbor Karen knew someone on the local government.

I hope an investigation occurs and someone gets their ass handed to them.

I love it, the artist did a good job.

That's not libertarianism. Libertarianism involves the right of the HOA to make those rules.

Libertarians are not "live and let live" people but little mini Sa'uds.

He should do a matching garage mural with a beat-up pick up truck

by Anonymousreply 7May 14, 2024 1:14 PM

I think it's very clever and a great solution to the town's problem.

by Anonymousreply 8May 14, 2024 1:35 PM

OP is a retard.

by Anonymousreply 9May 14, 2024 1:39 PM

That'll look really trippy in the winter.

by Anonymousreply 10May 14, 2024 2:12 PM

I’m with the boat owner here.

by Anonymousreply 11May 14, 2024 2:13 PM

I admire the pettiness, but hiring someone to do a spite mural seems awfully expensive.

by Anonymousreply 12May 14, 2024 6:12 PM

There's no better investment than spite, R12.

by Anonymousreply 13May 14, 2024 6:49 PM

Good for him. The NIMBY asshole neighbors can suck it.

by Anonymousreply 14May 14, 2024 6:51 PM

Atta boy!

by Anonymousreply 15May 14, 2024 6:54 PM

That must have cost him a bunch.
