I only ever wear the kilt on special occasions like weddings. Those who wear it daily are either eccentric/ attention seeking, work in the tourist industry, or are English residents who have gone native in a big way.

Scottish country dancing might be a reasonable excuse to wear one, but I wouldn’t advise it as kilts are bloody hot when you exert yourself.
