My sisters bought me this Cuisinart Air Fryer/Toaster Oven

It’s super nice but I don’t know how I feel about it yet. I just wanted a new regular air fryer.

An air fryer would have been a much better gift. I suggest you return this useless toaster oven and spit on your sisters as you flounce away.

by Anonymousreply 2May 13, 2024 12:07 AM

Put in on the shelf in the garage next to the fondue pot and slow cooker.

by Anonymousreply 3May 13, 2024 12:12 AM

It has both air fry and toaster oven features. It works as both. But I just want a regular air fryer

Keep the damn thing, you fucking idiot. You didn't pay for it and maybe the extra feature is something you can use. And thank your thoughtful sisters.

Then go eat your goddamn oatmeal DAMNIT!

by Anonymousreply 6May 13, 2024 12:23 AM

I think you may be confusing convection with air fry capabilities. I can't believe that thing could operate in the same way a real air fryer would. The only thing a convection oven will do is help things cook faster and more evenly.

by Anonymousreply 7May 13, 2024 12:34 AM

Idk r7. They now make air fryers like that

As long as you have room on your counter, I don't see the problem.

by Anonymousreply 9May 13, 2024 12:59 AM

Just be glad you have sisters to buy you stuff.

by Anonymousreply 10May 13, 2024 1:06 AM

R10 I agree. It was kind of them. But it wasn’t the air fryer I wanted but I hope it’s good. If it isn’t I’m exchanging.

by Anonymousreply 11May 13, 2024 1:17 AM

I have the Kitchen Aid version of that one. I can't really compare it to a basket air fryer, but mine seems to do the job.

I prefer how it looks on the counter.

by Anonymousreply 12May 13, 2024 1:23 AM

R12 do you cook any meats in it?

by Anonymousreply 13May 13, 2024 1:29 AM

If it's not the one you wanted, return it and get the one you want. Life is too fucking short.

by Anonymousreply 14May 13, 2024 1:30 AM

I've done chicken in it and burgers.

by Anonymousreply 15May 13, 2024 1:31 AM

R15 good to know. I use my air fryers for meats mostly. I wanna make sure this will cook meats fine. Will see.

by Anonymousreply 16May 13, 2024 1:36 AM

It seems to fit perfectly into that spot. Whereas those dedicated air fryers look like a huge urn.

Looks expensive.

Just exchange it.

by Anonymousreply 17May 13, 2024 1:53 AM

I don’t even know what an air fryer is.

by Anonymousreply 18May 13, 2024 2:01 AM

Your sisters sound like real cunts. Is one of them named Julie?

by Anonymousreply 19May 13, 2024 2:14 AM

did she buy you a knock off bag recently?

by Anonymousreply 20May 13, 2024 2:26 AM

Toaster oven function is great for reheating pizza and making melty sandwiches.

Experiment with the air fryer for things like salmon and making crispy vegetables, if you like those. You might prefer roasting them in the toaster oven.

For fries/onion rings, it's the air fryer all the way.

by Anonymousreply 21May 13, 2024 2:34 AM

My mother has one like this and loves it.

by Anonymousreply 22May 13, 2024 2:35 AM

Seems like OP's sisters gave him / her something *better* than an air fryer. Some people just don't know ...

by Anonymousreply 23May 13, 2024 2:38 AM

OP is a dumb cunt and his story is made up. He doesn't have a sister.

by Anonymousreply 24May 13, 2024 2:40 AM

They have microwave convection air fryers too

The reviews love the Cuisinart, and now the most common one comes with a grill attachment too. Keep it. Learn to love hors d'oeuvres like you have never loved them before!

It's a staunch gift.

Like steaks? Do you use your traditional air fryer for steaks?

by Anonymousreply 27May 13, 2024 5:50 AM

This type of air fryer would not be nearly as easy to clean as the drawer type. Grease from any meats cooked are going to splatter all over the inside of the thing.

by Anonymousreply 28May 13, 2024 7:20 PM

Great for Torino’s pizza rolls.

by Anonymousreply 29May 13, 2024 7:44 PM

by Anonymousreply 30May 13, 2024 7:44 PM

I’m easily alarmed by appliances whose literature I have to read but that one looks like it’d be worth it.

I think there’s a good chance that a month from now you’ll love it and wonder how you ever lived without it, OP.

P.S. If you give up on it, I can recommend the Ninja air fryer without reservation.

by Anonymousreply 31May 13, 2024 7:49 PM

R31 that is the one I wanted. The new Ninja Pro XL. I almost bought it for myself too as it’s on sale for $120 at Target right now. I mentioned wanting a new one because I have a Faberware one from 2020 that has zero settings on it. It’s on/off, temperature (400 the highest) and time. No preheat or anything like all the new ones come with. The earlier air fryers didn’t have all the shit the new ones do.

They surprised me with this one which is very sweet and it’s gorgeous in person. All stainless steel. I used it today and the fries came out amazing and I loved that I had so much room on the rack. But there’s a part of me that still can’t view this as a legit air fryer.

WTF? Talking about an air fryer kitchen appliance, not a Lamborghini. You're not even saying you had your heart set on a particular brand. Your food came out good. Crazy.

by Anonymousreply 33May 14, 2024 4:27 PM

OP here. I used it for the second time today and must say i actually love it. It’s great and so nice looking in person. All stainless steel.

My only gripe is there is no timer.

by Anonymousreply 34May 14, 2024 7:18 PM

Geez. Looks like a robot monster face.

by Anonymousreply 35May 14, 2024 7:28 PM

R35 yea. I do. I keep my air fryer on the small corner by the stove. 😉 but on the other side of the stove is tons of space.

by Anonymousreply 36May 14, 2024 7:31 PM

R34

Your ONLY gripe?

It still is not THE ONE you wanted, isn´t it?

....and now that you have used it twice you can not return it either, think about it!

Love

R37 this one is higher end than the one I wanted.

by Anonymousreply 38May 14, 2024 9:57 PM

Try vegetables.

by Anonymousreply 39May 17, 2024 12:05 PM

I had one and gave it away and then bought a Ninja.
