Is anyone else watching the slow burn Irish murder mystery Bodkin?
It had Will Forte , Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara, and Fionnula Flanagan plays a deliciously campy Reverend Mother.

The reviews I've read were pretty bad, so I'll skip this one. Too bad as I thought it might be fun.

It put me to sleep last night.

What was with that midieval phrase “odds bodkin”?

It’s a Hamlet word.

I’m trying so hard to like this show but it seems there’s no “there” there. It’s billed as a dark comedy but there’s no darkness or comedy. The mystery isn’t entertaining enough for me to care and the characters aren’t exactly likable.

Don't have Netflix, so no.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was funny and some of the characters suitably dark. The scenery and set decor was good.

Aww, I thought the trailer looked good. I think I'll give it a watch.

Jesus Christ… Fionulla Flanagan is still going? Isn’t she 847 years old?

She just turned 218, r10.

I saw this when it premiered but don’t remember a single thing.

I loved it and the last couple of episodes were especially funny.
Those of you Americans who say that you’re Irish based on some generations ago Irish ancestors will feel gently mocked in the first episode.

I still laugh at the old lady in the Klan outfit carrying a very sensible handbag.

I haven't been watching, but now I want to check it out.

When the adopted Sean O'Shea, actor Chris Walley, said he was Romanian and all the irish let it slide. I mean really.
it has clever structure. it has its cake but eats it too. It caustically mocks tourists who want the full irish experience, all the while the series is delivering just that.
It does the same with podcasting and podcasters. Brutally mocked while also performing exactly what it is mocking.
I think shits-his-pants should have been breathtakingly handsome. David Wilmots Seamus is kind of sexy, though.
