Anyone else here HATE Zendaya?

Yes I hate her but come on she and Mouseboy ruined both Dunes.

I honestly don't know who she is except a very scrawny skeleton with a one name ego. I see her name here but haven't seen any odmf her movies.

She’s gorgeous and the top of the A list for actresses. Deal.

The only thing with her - that RBF! It can be too much and unpleasant to look at for an entire movie. She’s very good at sulking. Looking bored and above it all as an alpha bitch. Serves her well in ‘Challengers’. Not sure she has much range, but top directors are investing in her. If Julia Roberts can win an Oscar, I’m sure Zendaya can as well.

I’ve never seen her act. But she seems to show up in designer gowns every single day for an event. Her publicist must be working overtime.

I don't hate her, but I wouldn't miss her - she's just not essential to me - even if I enjoyed her things like Spiderman, Euphoria, Challengers.

I just looked her up. She looks a little girl so she can't have much range as an actress.

I love her in “Euphoria”. That’s really all I’ve seen her in.

I wish Andrew Garfield was in as many movies and shows as Zendaya. I miss him.

I'm like r7, I wouldn't miss her if she was suddenly gone, but come on OP she was in like 10 seconds of the first Dune movie -- she didn't have the opportunity to ruin shit that time. I think she's more of a model than an actress, or to be generous more of a movie star -- she has yet to prove she can plumb hidden depths opf emotion (and I thought you could really see her straining at times in Challengers), but she looks great and and is striking and visually she commands attention.

She’s not at the top of the A-list for actresses. Margot Robbie, Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence are.

And even old bags like Roberts, Bullock, Witherspoon or Anniston are higher than Zendaya.

I have said it for a while, she must have some good people behind her making her happen. After the whole patchouli and weed comment she seemed to get a high powered push to a list.

I like her. She seems very likeable and unproblematic. Seeing hords of men on the internet hating her, makes me like her even more.

She has no personality just like Dua Lipa.

She should stick to modeling, that seems to work for her.

She’s a beautiful young woman and seems sweet. That said, she’s simply not a good actress. I’ve seen her in enough things to say that. There’s plenty of stars who get by on their looks and some even get better at acting so, only time will tell. But hate her? Nah.

“Challengers” opened to the same box office as “No Hard Feelings” on the strength of her name alone. A List, today, is defined by social media following, streaming numbers, and box office pull.

I dont hate her but am somehow mistified by her popularity and being everywhere. She absolutely has no body of work, not even a successful and/or good movie to justify it. She pouts and poses. Even The New Yorker had three reviews of Chalengers, FFS.

R33, Tom Holland is not celebrated for his looks. He’s a short, average looking white guy. Some chicken hawk gay men may prey on him, but he’s no Chris Hemsworth at 5 feet 6 inches height.

She's gorgeous, photographs well, displays personality in interviews, and is almost always impeccably dressed. There's a reason she's popular.

She seems like a laid back person and she makes Spider-Man tolerable.

I don't hate her, but she adds nothing that any other actor wouldn't add.

I don't hate her. I hate the fact the machine is forcing her down our throats. She was a Disney Channel actress one day and suddenly the next coming of christ.

I’m starting to think that whole “patchouli & weed” incident was a scripted planned pr operation to have people rally behind her to launch her into movie stardom.

I've never seen her "act" although she seems to be getting cast in a lot of things. I've seen her wear clothes well, actually very well.

As a model I'll give her a 8 or 9, that's the only thing I know of her.

I think she's lovely and a very good actress. Her stylist does a great job dressing her. Never trashy looking like so many others.

She's likeable. Not the best actress, of course, but far from worst. Keeps it to herself, no scandals or obnoxious social media posts. Quite mysterious.

As many have said, she is likeable, professional and seems like a sweetheart. She cannot act. Although, to be fair, I've only seen her in "Challengers" which spans a long(ish) period of time- she has to go from being a high schooler to being 30 with the weight of the world on her. And you just don't buy it- despite her being only a few years shy of 30, in real life. Faist was slightly more plausible but Josh O'Connor gave the best performance by far. Sorry I'm hijacking and turning this into a "Challengers" thread but Josh was surprisingly hot- dumbo ears and all.

She knows how to do the 'sparkly' thing on talk shows though. So she'd probably fare better in light comedies and rom-coms. In this way, she really reminds me of JLO. They could easily play mother and daughter in a film.
