Anyone with a Netflix special besides Chapelle.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 2, 2024 3:41 AM |
Who was the monotone deadpan guy they kept shoving in our faces years ago?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 2, 2024 3:48 AM |
R14 Steven Wright?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 2, 2024 3:51 AM |
I could not stand Horatio Sanz when he was on SNL. He ruined every sketch he was in.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 2, 2024 3:53 AM |
John Mulaney! I have never laughed at one of his jokes though my husband makes me watch his Netflix specials.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 2, 2024 3:59 AM |

The only thing funny is his name.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 2, 2024 4:08 AM |
Rita Rudner.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 2, 2024 4:09 AM |
Is Adam Sandler a comedian or just a shitty actor?
Either way, horrible.

Andrew "Dice" Clay
Yvonne Orji
Leo Reich
Tig Notaro
Cedric the Entertainer

Tig is a comedian?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 2, 2024 4:18 AM |
Another vote for Adam Sandler and I write this as someone who believes the stories about him that he’s actually a nice guy.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 2, 2024 4:24 AM |
George fucking Carlon.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 2, 2024 4:24 AM |

Sam Kinison. Just a vile piece of trash.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 2, 2024 5:18 AM |
I never thought Chris Farley was funny while he was alive, but i recognize now he was funnier on SNL than I had given him credit for being.
Adam Sandler was always just obnoxious, though.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 2, 2024 5:22 AM |
Andrew Dice Clay, Sam Kinison, Adam Sandler, Ellen DeGeneres, PJ O’Rourke, Roseanne Barr, Sheryl Underwood, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, & Conan O’Brien (partial list).

Tracy Morgan

Dane Cook
The water melon dude
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 2, 2024 6:18 AM |
Tig Notaro and Kevin Hart share first prize in this thread. Hannah Gadsby comes a close second.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 2, 2024 6:19 AM |
Bill Burr. A little goes a LONG way.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 2, 2024 6:21 AM |
Danny Kaye.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 2, 2024 6:25 AM |
Dane Cook was an interesting case. He wasn't funny in the least, and was a million miles from clever, but I think the answer to his success was in his pattern of speech and dumbshit attitude. He told stories in the stupid way of the drunk guy at the bar who you knew through your English Lit 101 seminar.
Delivery, voice, pattern of speaking somehow were enough to make him accessible for a college comedy crowd. You could see it in how he had obviously honed his slack-jawed observational humor, while giving very little thought to the comedy part
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 2, 2024 10:51 AM |
Jim Carrey. I do not find him funny in the slightest.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 2, 2024 11:10 AM |
Red Skelton.

Emo Phillips
Gilbert Gottfried
Judy Tenuta
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 2, 2024 1:10 PM |
Dave Chapelle - never understood his humor, even long before his obsession with the trannies
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 2, 2024 1:13 PM |
99.99% of comedians are not funny.
So why bother listing the ones who aren’t funny.
Let’s have a list of the rare comedian who is funny 😆
I’ll start
Lisa Lampinelli was very funny when I watched her on HBO back in 2009.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 2, 2024 1:14 PM |
Lisa Lampanelli was never funny
Suzanne Westenhoefer is terrifically funny and she can't turn it off either.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 2, 2024 1:52 PM |
[quote] Aziz Ansari
I agree. I'm South Asian and I thought I would love Master of None. But it wasn't funny at all. I thought it was dull. And has he ever recovered from that rape accusation?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 2, 2024 1:53 PM |
R37, Dane Cook was horrible. The only reason he had fans--most female--is because he would take his shirt off during his sets.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 2, 2024 1:53 PM |
Is his torso as pockmarked as his face?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 2, 2024 2:10 PM |
R45- She was never funny
She was HILARIOUS for a while.
Her 2008 HBO special - watching it I was in tears. She didn't last very long .
Mario Cantone was hilarious at times too.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 2, 2024 2:15 PM |
Russell Peterson. Milk those stereotypes!
by Anonymous | reply 50 | May 2, 2024 2:15 PM |
Jonathan Winters, Sarah Silverman, Paula Poundstone, Seinfeld, Roseanne Barr, Robin Williams.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 2, 2024 2:58 PM |
Daniel Tosh (the snob persona is not an act)
Noah Gardenschwartz (same as Tosh)
Anthony Jeselnik
Larry the Cable Guy (100% MAGA)
Seinfeld
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 2, 2024 3:05 PM |
[quote] And has he ever recovered from that rape accusation?
Are you serious? Would you?
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 2, 2024 3:06 PM |
Louis CK is hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | May 2, 2024 3:14 PM |
David Fucking Steinberg.
Ugh, how singularly unfunny he and his fakey pseudo-intellectualism were. And he was EVERYWHERE in the late 60s-early 80s. AAARRRARGH!!!
Also, I hated his mouth and how it formed the singularly unfunny words he spewed.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | May 2, 2024 3:16 PM |
Dave Chappelle and and Louis CK are funny but I hate them as people as I especially hate their douchey fanbases.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | May 2, 2024 3:20 PM |
That ghastly Ellen
Jerry Seinfeld.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | May 2, 2024 3:21 PM |
John Belushi, Gilda Radner and Kristen Wiig. Holy trinity of beloved insufferable SNL muggers. Belushi and Gilda at least had tragic premature deaths to explain why people deify them.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | May 2, 2024 3:21 PM |
R50, did you mean Russell Peters?
by Anonymous | reply 59 | May 2, 2024 3:22 PM |
Robert Klein. Some of his standup was pretty good, but that led to him being declared a brilliant improv comedian and no, actually, HE WAS AWFUL. It’s actually embarrassing to witness.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | May 2, 2024 3:30 PM |
Gilda Radner was a million times funnier than anyone on SNL in the past 20+ years.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | May 2, 2024 3:34 PM |
I find Tim and Eric unfunny and disturbing.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | May 2, 2024 3:35 PM |
R15 Steven Wright was/is hilarious. And so was Mitch Herberg.
Louie CK and Dave Chappelle were funny before they went alt right and became bffs with that knuckle dragger Rogan
by Anonymous | reply 63 | May 2, 2024 3:42 PM |
Jonathan Winters
Robin Williams
Sam Kinison
Amy Schumer
Howie Mandel
Sarah Silverman
Kevin Hart
Chris Farley
Bobby Lee
by Anonymous | reply 64 | May 2, 2024 4:23 PM |
I think Robin Williams is hilarious but I understand he’s not for everyone.
Kevin Hart comes off as shouty and obnoxious.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | May 2, 2024 4:35 PM |
Julie Tenuta. Was she supposed to be a comedienne?
by Anonymous | reply 66 | May 2, 2024 4:48 PM |
R15 Yes thank you. He was not my kind of funny. Nor was Sam Kinison. Either you make me laugh or you don't. They didn't. I know many loved them. But the question is "Comedians you've never thought were funny".
by Anonymous | reply 67 | May 2, 2024 4:51 PM |
The fucking Sklar brothers
by Anonymous | reply 68 | May 2, 2024 4:51 PM |
R67 How can you not find Steven Wright funny?
by Anonymous | reply 69 | May 2, 2024 5:11 PM |
Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.
My dental hygienist is cute. Every time I visit, I eat a whole package of Oreo cookies while waiting in the lobby. Sometimes she has to cancel the rest of the afternoon's appointments.
I have two very rare photographs. One is a picture of Houdini locking his keys in his car. The other is a rare photograph of Norman Rockwell beating up a child.
I stayed up all night playing poker with tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

by Anonymous | reply 73 | May 2, 2024 5:18 PM |
Paula Poundstone
Paul Reiser
Zach Zimmerman
Andy Samberg (more of a sketch comic than a comedian)
by Anonymous | reply 74 | May 2, 2024 5:23 PM |
The only time Tracy Morgan has ever made me laugh was when he was in a car crash with an 18 wheeler.
Encore! Encore!

[quote] Are you serious? Would you?
I was talking about in terms of his popularity.
by Anonymous | reply 76 | May 2, 2024 5:43 PM |
Yes, how did I manage to overlook Robin Williams.
His zany mad adlib was pure torture, and he gave me the creeps. Only in "One Hour Photo" was he seemingly well cast, but managed to overdo the fuck out of that as well.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | May 2, 2024 5:59 PM |
R72 Steven Wright
by Anonymous | reply 78 | May 2, 2024 7:21 PM |
78 replies and no mention of Gallagher?
by Anonymous | reply 79 | November 3, 2024 6:33 AM |

Judy Tenuta was hilarious and so were Ellen's HBO specials
by Anonymous | reply 83 | November 3, 2024 6:58 AM |
Richard Jenni made me laugh
by Anonymous | reply 84 | November 3, 2024 6:58 AM |
Two: Mo Rocca and Michael Ian Black. It doesn't mean they’re not talented, but I don’t care for their brand of humor.
by Anonymous | reply 85 | November 3, 2024 6:21 AM |
Sarah Silverman. 😴🥱

Ellen, not funny.

They like her because she brings back fond memories of Miss Piggy on "The Muppet show."
by Anonymous | reply 92 | November 3, 2024 3:25 PM |
Another for Jerry Seinfeld. Not funny.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | November 3, 2024 3:37 PM |
R93 He was funny on Seinfeld, the tv show. Can't imagine anyone else playing that role. Never watched his stand up. I imagine it wouldn't be funny
by Anonymous | reply 94 | November 3, 2024 3:42 PM |
Roseanne Barr
by Anonymous | reply 95 | November 3, 2024 3:44 PM |
Another vote for Don Rickles.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | November 3, 2024 3:46 PM |
Another vote for Paul Reiser, who at least is a decent character-supporting actor and also didn't wilt when Mad About You had the "Will they get a divorce?" arc. But like his show, Paul wasn't especially innovative or unique.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | November 3, 2024 3:53 PM |
[quote]R47, Dane Cook was horrible. The only reason he had fans--most female--is because he would take his shirt off during his sets.
Q: How bad was Dane Cook?
A: Dane Cook was so bad that when I was at a Copeland's picking up a a to-go order, and was sitting at the bar, then the ditsy girl said "Oh, we misplaced your order! It'll be 35 minutes to make it!!!!" and turned the TV to that Dane Cook series on Comedy Channel, and the bartender asked "Can I get you something?" Dane Cook kept being unfunny through an entireepisode, in response my Myers and Coke kept coming, the order arrived. I pour my drunk ass into my car, halfway home I hit a storm drain and shredded my passenger side tires, but I was *whispers into camera* W-A-S-T-E-D, so instead of hitting the Onstar button to get help I drove, I mean I crept all the way home on sparking rims. Damn, I should SUE Copelands to fix my car.
I mean, who could *willingly* SIT THROUGH and listen to that delivery like I described up there? Week after week?
