I went to see their live Xmas concert as a goof about 10 years ago. Was stunned by Donnie’s talent both as a singer and a performer. He’s incredibly charismatic in person.

Marie, on the other hand, lip sanked all songs except duets with Donnie. She was wooden and remote.

Donnie should have had a bigger career. The goody Mormon boy rep destroyed his career.

Well, this is DL. Donny is a homophobic idiot. Marie has always been supportive to the gay community including her daughter. Team Marie by a long shot.

I thought it interesting that Marie said when she was going through her divorce and her assets were frozen, it was her brother Jimmy who helped her out financially until the divorce was settled and she had access to all her funds again. I would have thought Donny would have been the one to help her out.

Also, Jimmy hasn't been seen in public since his stroke, must have been pretty bad.

R4 Donny has told Marie to shut up about her lesbian daughter because it makes the church look bad. She told him to fuck off. It's been one of the sources of their tension. Marie's daughter got married to her partner and Donny didn't attend nor make any reference to it. Anecdotal enough?

Merrill said that Donny and Marie had had issues.

You guys might enjoy this documentary. It's 20+ years old, but still gives you an idea of the different personalities (brothers) involved. Marie decline to participate.

Marie has enough issues without Donny condemning her.
