I was so happy seeing his face even if this is clearly another M Night turkey.
Words not heard in close to twenty years: “New Josh Hartnett movie”

[quote] I was so happy seeing his face
We are not given the large, disturbing black mole on his neck.

Sweetie, he was just in "Oppenheimer" which won 15 Oscars and grossed $1 billion
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 18, 2024 5:51 PM |
He's got 4 movies coming out this year. That's a dream for any actor.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 18, 2024 5:54 PM |
Like most M. Night Shamalamadingdong's movies, the trailer looks great, but the film itself will probably end up being disappointing.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 18, 2024 5:56 PM |
[quote] the film itself will probably end up being disappointing.
Twisting in the wind.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 18, 2024 5:58 PM |
He’s so hot.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 18, 2024 6:00 PM |
It felt like the signature M Night twist was revealed in the trailer...
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 18, 2024 6:05 PM |
[quote]Sweetie, he was just in "Oppenheimer" which won 15 Oscars and grossed $1 billion
Correct.
But most people would understand “the new X movie” as referring to a movie where one is the star.
Otherwise, Barbie could be considered “a Scott Evans movie”.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 18, 2024 6:06 PM |
I hate that talking straight to the camera technique for the dialogue.
And what teenage girl wants to go to a concert with her father?!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 18, 2024 6:41 PM |
But will he spend 1/3 of the film half naked like he did in Lucky Number Slevin?
By the way, that is an excellent film.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 18, 2024 6:42 PM |
If the Fed have the intel that a serial killer is going to concert, surely they must know where he lives.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 18, 2024 6:43 PM |
His “Black Mirror” episode last year was a punch in the gut.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 18, 2024 6:50 PM |
At least he’s combing his hair nowadays.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 18, 2024 6:50 PM |
We know he is the serial killer because he has a twitch and he does that expression going from a smile to a grimace.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 18, 2024 6:53 PM |
So the plot twist is that he is the butcher guy, right?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 18, 2024 7:00 PM |
The twist is probably the Asian guy tied up is the killer.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 18, 2024 7:12 PM |
I liked him in Penny Dreadful. He should've had a bigger career.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 18, 2024 7:22 PM |
Casting Hayley Mills was a scathingly brilliant idea!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 18, 2024 7:35 PM |
Josh kissing Reeve Carney in Penny Dreadful was hotter than any porn I've ever seen.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 18, 2024 7:36 PM |
R18 Hell, yes!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 18, 2024 7:36 PM |
Totally R19.
Josh needs to play gay again.
I'd actually watch this movie. It looks pretty good.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 18, 2024 8:17 PM |
In an alternate world, Hartnett would have played Ennis Del Mar. Unfortunately he wouldn’t have been making out with Jake, but with Joaquin Phoenix which is not hot at all.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 19, 2024 3:50 AM |
God that would have been hot.
Jesus Christ, Gyllenhaal has a big noggin.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 19, 2024 3:54 AM |
Knowing it was M.Night, I fully expected him to be the killer.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 19, 2024 4:06 AM |
Hartnett should have had Jake’s role, since he’s actually masculine and not already a femme bottom. More realistic.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 19, 2024 4:11 AM |
R24 Night will have another twist
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 19, 2024 4:11 AM |
There's no way Hartnett is the killer based on that trailer. It's probably his daughter. She was obviously caught in the trap of the concert.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 19, 2024 5:07 AM |
Manoj Nelliyattu Shyamalan Nahasapeemapetilon but you can probably just name him "Apu"'s whole cinematographic career has revolved around "all is not what it seems". It was great at first but it got a little repetitive and a little tedious and a little too predictable by the time he made this movie with Nicole Kidman and her children with xeroderma pigmentosum (I beg you to not google image the skin condition).
Otherwise, anyone else how very Lady Gaga is Lady Raven? Same voice, same idiosyncratic gothic looks, same choreos, and she also happens to play the piano on stage.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 19, 2024 5:55 AM |
Reeve Carney is so beautiful at R27.
Does he really look like that in person?
His beauty is ethereal. Or at least it looks that way on film.

[Quote] Words not heard in close to twenty years…
You’re hot. Wanna fuck?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 19, 2024 8:36 AM |
R27 Josh Harnett does such a great job in that scene. Without a single line of dialogue, you can see his face go from anger, to fear, to complete submission in just a few seconds.
He's underrated as an actor.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 19, 2024 12:21 PM |
Josh Hartnett was fantastic in a very bad movie, The Black Dahlia. He was able to match the ersatz-40s tone.
If you saw Spielberg’s West Side Story, Ansel was just being Ansel but Mike Faist acted like someone from a movie from that era. Similar thing with Chalamet just sleepwalking thru Dune but Austin Butler acting like he was in hokey Space Opera, which is all Dune is.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 19, 2024 2:14 PM |
Okay, then the Asian guy could be the killer, but that's probably non PC now.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 19, 2024 2:37 PM |
I didn't spot Hayley Mills in the trailer.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 19, 2024 6:49 PM |
Meh, the Penny Dreadful kiss is a pretty typical straight man, curled in lips, closed mouth, head banging, hand on face and blocking (or nearly so) the kiss kiss.
R22 it would have been Signs-era Joaquin, so not that bad.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 19, 2024 7:24 PM |
I don't know why, but Josh has always been dead sexy to me. He's got odd hair and a vaguely Asian face, but none of that matters. Woof.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 19, 2024 7:45 PM |
Same here, R37.
I think it's because there's an effortless masculinity that he has.
He's not preened and primped, like most Hollywood heartthrobs.
Josh also comes across as a regular guy, which I love.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 19, 2024 8:02 PM |
That twist, Hartmett as the killer, would be way too easy.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 19, 2024 8:24 PM |
Maybe the reason Josh took his daughter to the concert is because she's the killer, and he knows it.
She's a monster, and he has to "feed the beast."
So he took her there so she could appease her blood lust.
Maybe she's a vampire. Or a werewolf.
That's my guess.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 19, 2024 8:28 PM |
hartnett. Here's my guess - Hayley Mills is Hartnett's mom and she's been torturing people in the cellar since Hartnett was wee. And he knows it but he can't turn in Pollyanna!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 19, 2024 8:28 PM |
They plan on setting off the fire sprinklers in the auditorium, since that will kill serial killers.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 19, 2024 11:22 PM |
He looks great, and it looks watchable - perhaps in a hate-watch way just like other Knight shit.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 20, 2024 3:06 AM |
Casting Hayley Mills in a movie called TRAP in which Josh Hartnett plays a PARENT is the twist.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 7, 2024 9:40 PM |
Hayley Mills playing just your average, run of the mill, 80 y/o FBI investigator. Was Karen Dotrice unavailable?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 7, 2024 10:05 PM |
Wow he barely aged and still looks like his handsome self.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 7, 2024 10:17 PM |
The trailer for this is good, and I want to see the film. But, as others have noted, many Shyamalan films have had great trailers but ended up being awful.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | July 7, 2024 10:35 PM |
That Joe Biden is really with it.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | July 7, 2024 11:08 PM |
I want him in me, quite deeply.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | July 7, 2024 11:12 PM |
R15 did you watch the trailer, dora dumbfuck?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | July 8, 2024 12:44 AM |
I wish Penny Dreadful had been a longer series, there was nothing else like it on tv. I also enjoyed Timothy Dalton and Eva Green.
