It could be diverticulitis. For reasons unknown this is affecting people at a younger age than it used to. (My gastroenterologist mentioned this to me last year when I was diagnosed.)

I must admit that I have never seen cats visiting patients in hospitals.

Whether or not she'd admit this is uncertain since it's one of the most common medical complications of eating disorders, but the t-shirt/anorexia combo makes me strongly suspect gastroparesis.

I wonder if she competes with her daughter for boyfriends. She seems “broken”.
