I hate good looking people. Life is not fair. They should not look as good as they do all these years later.

And most of them look fabulous.

by Anonymousreply 1April 12, 2024 12:37 PM

[quote]And most of them look fabulous.

True but some of those pics are heavily photoshopped.

by Anonymousreply 2April 12, 2024 12:41 PM

Ffft R1. That is the magic of photoshop you are looking at. I know Goldie Hawn at least does not look like that in reality, even with full makeup. Which at 78, I wouldn't expect her to, but don’t take these pictures as real.

by Anonymousreply 3April 12, 2024 12:43 PM

I love how they called Linda Evans “old” on her cover. She was 40!

by Anonymousreply 4April 12, 2024 12:43 PM

She is one of the most heavily photoshopped R4.

by Anonymousreply 5April 12, 2024 12:45 PM

Rob Lowe can still get it.

Lionel Ritchie comes out ok.

Poor Harry Hamlin has lost his boyishness. Now he just looks like an angry middle management type.

Linda Evans looks like a drag queen.

I’m surprised they chose Maury and Connie because who remembers them?

Why did they lead with that horrible Goldie Hawn cover? Both are mortifying.

by Anonymousreply 6April 12, 2024 12:45 PM

They threw every smoothing filter in the toolbox at these photos!

by Anonymousreply 7April 12, 2024 12:48 PM

It's worse than Brendad Ickson.

by Anonymousreply 8April 12, 2024 12:50 PM

Goldie can't get her leg back as far as in the original but not bad for an old lady. Heavily touched up though.

by Anonymousreply 9April 12, 2024 12:50 PM

Gaussian blur...

by Anonymousreply 10April 12, 2024 12:51 PM

When did Harry Hamlin turn into Bryan Cranston?

by Anonymousreply 11April 12, 2024 12:52 PM

Ricky Martin looks better now.

by Anonymousreply 12April 12, 2024 12:55 PM

Linda Evans is wearing a terrible wig.

by Anonymousreply 13April 12, 2024 1:15 PM

Donna Mills. My god.

by Anonymousreply 14April 12, 2024 1:15 PM

What the hell happened to Harry Hamlin's lips? Did Lisa Rinna steal them to plaster atop her own overly generous ones?

I've never before seen somebody so full-lipped in youth turn into Peter Cushing. Weird.

by Anonymousreply 15April 12, 2024 1:43 PM

I noticed the same R15. Among the many cruelties of aging, do our lips shrink? Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 16April 12, 2024 3:15 PM

Fabio looks amazing.

by Anonymousreply 17April 12, 2024 4:01 PM

Woof Fabio and that smoooothing of the face.

by Anonymousreply 18April 12, 2024 4:48 PM

This is a cute idea. I doubt they'd have chosen anyone that looks horrible now.

by Anonymousreply 19April 12, 2024 4:48 PM

I think Ricky Lake looks good.

by Anonymousreply 20April 12, 2024 5:35 PM

*Love* it...

by Anonymousreply 21April 12, 2024 5:46 PM

Kathleen Turner must have broke the bed spring!

by Anonymousreply 22April 12, 2024 5:49 PM

I see Clint Black has turned into a Eurasian woman. Lisa Hartman still looks good and Lionel and Rob, ageless.

by Anonymousreply 23April 12, 2024 5:53 PM

This seems like a giant spread for showing the advantages of the latest version of Photoshop.

It makes faces look more natural! People still look human! Buy Photoshop today!!

by Anonymousreply 24April 12, 2024 6:01 PM

Where's the first?

by Anonymousreply 25April 12, 2024 8:23 PM

That Fabio issue was the worst-selling issue of “People” at the time.

by Anonymousreply 26April 12, 2024 8:25 PM

Poor Rikki Lake turned into Madge from the PTA. You would never believe she was once a starlet of independent films.

by Anonymousreply 27April 12, 2024 9:01 PM

That was fun - I like stuff like that.

Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner were great to see together again.

by Anonymousreply 28April 12, 2024 9:06 PM

[quote]she was once a starlet

She was *never* a starlet, r27. She was always a character actress.

by Anonymousreply 29April 12, 2024 9:14 PM

Clint Black , what did yiu do to your face? A different person.

Most look really good but Donna’s photo has been heavily shopped.

by Anonymousreply 30April 12, 2024 9:16 PM

Gosh, photoshop or no, these pictures are all a cautionary tale about plastic surgery, fillers, and botox.

by Anonymousreply 31April 12, 2024 10:52 PM

Lisa Hartman looks good.

by Anonymousreply 32April 12, 2024 11:23 PM

Ricki Lake should do another show. She always came across as so genuine and normal.

She's doing a podcast these days, and limited TV appearances. Meanwhile, Gayle King and Ryan Seacrest are never off the goddamn TV, and they're both as empty as a Scottish pay toilet!

by Anonymousreply 33April 12, 2024 11:24 PM

Fabio does not look amazing.

by Anonymousreply 34April 12, 2024 11:26 PM

I’d watch a new movie with turner and Douglas

by Anonymousreply 35April 12, 2024 11:28 PM

R35 Wasn't she in the final season of Douglas' new Netflix show?

by Anonymousreply 36April 12, 2024 11:29 PM

I haven't looked at a People magazine in 30 years, but that's a really great idea.

Great trivia question: Who was on the first cover?

by Anonymousreply 37April 12, 2024 11:29 PM

Fabio’s fascism shines through.

by Anonymousreply 38April 12, 2024 11:30 PM

I think Ricki Lake looks the best and most natural of everyone.

But who the hell knows what photoshopping might have taken place on her photo as well.

by Anonymousreply 39April 12, 2024 11:31 PM

Fabio now looks like Jeff Daniels.

by Anonymousreply 40April 12, 2024 11:37 PM

The site of the obese Kathleen Turner in a bed is truly disturbing..

by Anonymousreply 41April 12, 2024 11:48 PM

r37 see r25

by Anonymousreply 42April 13, 2024 12:02 AM

Mia recreated the original cover for the 20th anniversary in 1994. She prob wasn’t going to do it again.

I've never seen Goldie Hawn as attractive.

by Anonymousreply 45April 13, 2024 12:11 AM

I think Ricki Lake looks good, too.

by Anonymousreply 46April 13, 2024 12:13 AM

Ricky Martin and Rickie Lake came out the most natural and maturing gracefully. Rob Lowe looks like a modern day Dorian Gray.

by Anonymousreply 47April 13, 2024 12:16 AM

If Harry Hamlin still had lips he would look pretty good.

by Anonymousreply 48April 13, 2024 12:18 AM

R45 = Kurt Russell

by Anonymousreply 49April 13, 2024 12:19 AM

[quote]If Harry Hamlin still had lips

Ironic, isn't it?

by Anonymousreply 50April 13, 2024 12:20 AM

R49 more like Bill Hudson.

by Anonymousreply 51April 13, 2024 12:57 AM

R50 Yes, part of Harry Hamlin beauty was his full lips. Some people do lose their lips when they get older.

[quote]Some people do lose their lips when they get older.

Or just get tired of getting the collagen shots.

by Anonymousreply 53April 13, 2024 1:32 AM

That wasn't the irony I was referring to, r52.

by Anonymousreply 54April 13, 2024 1:55 AM

Perhaps he had his lips transferred to her?

by Anonymousreply 55April 13, 2024 1:57 AM

They used the Lucy "Mame" filter on Goldie.

by Anonymousreply 56April 13, 2024 4:46 AM

R51 Bill Hudson was the underrated star-fucker of the 1980s.

He had Jill St. John, then Goldie, then Ali McGraw, then Cindy Williams. He probably also snuck it in with Tyne Daly, Patti Davis, and the guy who did ALF's voice.

by Anonymousreply 57April 13, 2024 5:31 AM

Donna Mills looks amazing!

by Anonymousreply 58April 13, 2024 5:42 AM

R53 I believe it's just genetics to lose your lips when you get older. I'm 63 and I still have the same full lips I had when I was a teen. My cousin who had the same full lips as I did, today has no lips whatsoever at age 61.
