The only interesting thing about her was her murder.

Becuase the dead can’t sue for slander.

R4 stupid comment. Their families can.

Was Ron Goldman gay? There seems to be scant info on his personal life, and apparently he and Nicole were just platonic pals.

R6 Coming here to ask the same thing. I always assumed at the time he was going there to drop off coke.
he was certainly handsome enough to be gay.

Survivors or descendants of the dead have no legal claim on behalf of a deceased relative's good name, nor can they collect on behalf of their own interests relative to that person's reputation. Likewise, the estate of a deceased person cannot be liable for the defamation of the dead.

Why most documentaries or historical “Based on a true story) bios are posthumously made, (I’m looking at you Ryan Murphy).

R8 Did OJ ever pay off the Civil Case court finding ?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 12, 2024 10:19 AM |
I didn't know that, r8. Someone needs to make a Michael Jackson movie where he's depicted accurately.

Scant info? He wasn’t a celeb. He was 25. It was 1994. Social media didn’t exist. Most people didn’t have the internet at home. Of course there isn’t much info on him. He was a server at a nice restaurant. Not some celeb or celeb spouse like OJ and Nicole.

The memory of a deceased person can be damaged, but this is not addressed under the tort of defamation.

Agree with up comments - there was zero interesting about her life except that was the victim of the trial of the century. Just another LA blond willing to put up with anything for fame and fortune. Painful but true.

R18 that won’t happen because his mother owns his image and likeness.
