Luke Newton is jacked.
This belongs in the Guilty Pleasures thread.
He does look good - better hair and obviously has gone to the gym.
I also like the string quartet versions of the pop songs they use in the soundtrack.

The fat actress apparently has to have a PG rated version of her show in order to show her parents.
That’s ridiculously pathetic.
I don’t watch the show, btw.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 11, 2024 4:34 PM |
This should be the most relatable season yet for all the Bridgerton fraus, for obvious reasons.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 11, 2024 5:26 PM |
already? i didnt watch season 2, so fucking boring
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 11, 2024 5:28 PM |
Yeah, I dropped it mid-season 2 as well, it became standard frau fare and there was no gay content either.

by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 11, 2024 5:50 PM |
I started it last night. In S1 wasn't there a hint one of the brothers might go gay?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 17, 2024 2:35 PM |
I still can’t believe that bitch is 40.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 17, 2024 2:53 PM |
Nicola is 37. Played a high schooler on "Derry Girls," eclipsing the records set by Gabrielle Carteris and Stockard Channing.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 17, 2024 7:26 PM |
Fat chunky girls in Queen Charlotte time do not look good in Empire Dresses-They are really "FAT".
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 17, 2024 7:38 PM |
To R7-Yes. the middle Bridgerton male brother was studying to be an artist. so there were some mild homoerotic scenes.
Then, he became str8!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 17, 2024 7:46 PM |
This season is a complete mess with way too many subplots.
It seems clear to me that they're trying to squeeze more than the already announced fourth season by creating so many loose ends that fans demand more.
Also, it looks like they're trying to setup another "Bridgerton Story" like Queen Charlotte.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 17, 2024 8:16 PM |
Look at this interview at the 0:18 mark and tell me that they didn't fuck. Jonathan was fucking Matt Bomer, too, during the Fellow Travelers filming.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 17, 2024 8:32 PM |
The guy who plays Colin got in shape for S3, and yet Nicola couldn't lose some weight?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 17, 2024 11:36 PM |
Did Colin show ass..

There are no gays in Bridgerton?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 27, 2024 5:20 PM |
There is the most astonishing shortage of homosexuals in the Ton, as I was saying to Lady Danbury only the other evening as she polished her new cane.
Mister Colin Bridgerton is most jacked indeed and has not yet shown his peach. Meanwhile the other brother who isn't the one ravished by Matt Bomer looks old enough to be their father. Lady Whistledown did hint at the other brother having a mild flirtation with a handsome artist but other brother seems to have forgotten about that in order to ride some fresh widow pussy.

Few shows are shittier.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 27, 2024 5:49 PM |
The first season and Queen Charlotte were fun. Second season benefitted from the halo of Season 1, but wasn't nearly as good.
The new showrunner clearly has no idea what she's doing.
Unlike daytime soaps, or even nighttime ones, when you only have 8 episodes, you cannot have such a fragmented story with unrelated subplots. The subplots and main plot need to converge and resolve themselves in a connected fashion in order to feel like a cohesive season.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 27, 2024 6:05 PM |
R18 Yes I'm quite surprised, as I sometimes think Netflix still thinks steamy gay sex scenes are 'shocking', so they usually include at least one gay tryst in each Netflix original series.

Some people are saying Penelope is too fat to get a husband.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 3, 2024 6:35 PM |
I love history documentaries, especially about royalty and the English aristocracy, but I could not stand this show. Had to bail after 3/4 of Season 1 because I'm a prude.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 3, 2024 6:49 PM |
The show proposes that Colin never saw Penelope as desirable until they kissed. I find that implausible. I have experienced realizing that I am in love with someone who had been a friend, but I always thought he was attractive.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 3, 2024 6:56 PM |
^Though I suppose if Jane Austin can get away with it, so can Shonda .
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 3, 2024 7:16 PM |
R24 yeah I found the idea that Colin would suddenly be attracted to the short, dumpy Penelope all of a sudden just stretches the already strained plausibility of this show too far. Its mindless fluff but when it flies in the face of reality like this it loses its remaining appeal. The world just doesnt work like that
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 3, 2024 7:16 PM |
Damn, the fat girl gets the jacked guy and the blondish daddy?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 3, 2024 7:22 PM |
The short fat girl is homely as fuck!

by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 3, 2024 9:08 PM |
[quote] In the book, she got skinny over the summer.
That makes more sense.
Looks like she tried. She is less frumpy than last year. But she couldn’t quite pull it off. Too bad—they’d probably give her a Emmy if she lost the weight.
But she’s also tiny and homely and almost twice as old as the character.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 3, 2024 9:14 PM |
But she's a wonderful actress.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | June 3, 2024 9:18 PM |
Yeah, they really should've stuck with Penelope NOT being attractive to any hot guys. Keep that outsider perspective, or maybe, just maybe get an outsider to be interested. There was some possibility with the daddy, especially since it was kind of looking for a sensible, intelligent housekeeper more than a hot wife. But they blew it of course, cause frau fantasy has to win the day.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | June 3, 2024 9:18 PM |
She should have married the rich guy who is away for years at a time and had a bit of Colin on the side.
And why was the rich guy so put off that she was in love with Colin? He wasn’t in love with her and he wouldn’t be around.
Are we supposed to root for Cressida now? Pass.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 3, 2024 9:56 PM |
I’m just finishing up season 1.
I like it so far. Don’t like spoilers but what happens in season 2? Does Daphne get a kid eventually? If the hunky guy (Rene Jean Pierre, I believe) Left the series, then what happened?
I simply adored the Queen Charlotte series. It was magical. Loved the 2 leads.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | June 4, 2024 12:38 AM |
Yeah, Queen Charlotte was great, so much better than Bridgerton's season 2. I didn't get any chemistry between the two leads of S02. Are both actors gay by any chance?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | June 4, 2024 12:51 AM |
Regé-Jean Page suffered from David Caruso syndrome.
The Duke and Duchess are pretty much written out of Season 2.
It focuses on the new Lord Bridgerton, the eldest son.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | June 4, 2024 1:00 AM |
There’s something off about that Rene Jean guy - and his droppping out was totally rude to that poor actress who played his wife - now she’s been written out too.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | June 4, 2024 1:29 AM |
Thanks, R38. They really were a hot couple.
Does the middle son eventually come out? I sense a vibe between the painter and him (he).
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 4, 2024 1:47 AM |
Queen Charlotte was so good, I think because it dealt with more serious things like mental illness and loss than just trying to find a husband. S3 has way too much sex with the couple from S2.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 4, 2024 3:25 AM |
No, r40. They drop that and make him straight.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | June 4, 2024 4:06 AM |
So Daphne does get her baby!
And they seem to live happily ever after.
I haven’t yet started season 2.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | June 12, 2024 4:02 AM |
Part two of S3 has dropped and fat Penelope shows her entire breasts and nipples like a pornstar. Her breasts were smaller than you'd expect from her mammoth pushed up cleavage. Did not realise that the actress who plays her is 37!
by Anonymous | reply 45 | June 14, 2024 8:14 AM |
That Nicola chick is a bad actress on top of her generous fat. Bad acting, obese. She’s a lucky girl. Times up on her career.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | June 15, 2024 6:16 AM |
They are trying to hype their hot sex scenes, but no one says outright that Colin would never suddenly become attracted to a dumpy girl he’s known for years. Beer goggles and one night stand maybe, but that’s about it. It wouldn’t end well.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | June 16, 2024 3:00 AM |
Agree, R47. Colin was represented as enjoying a sybaritic lifestyle - threesomes with beautiful dancers who knew exactly what they were doing.
I don't think Penelope would have agreed to have sex with Colin before marriage anyway. He might have been repulsed by her lard and ended the engagement.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 16, 2024 9:07 AM |
This was enjoyable enough but all very repetitive.
The discourse over Nicola Coughlan has been ridiculous. She's a conventionally attractive woman who is shorter and more buxom than is currently in vogue. She's hardly obese and hardly a gargoyle like a Miriam Margolyes type.
Polly Walker was totally wasted but Claudia Jessie remains the star of the show.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 17, 2024 7:28 PM |
[quote]Regé-Jean Page suffered from David Caruso syndrome.
Not a fair comparison. They offered Rege a shitty deal, making brief appearances in two episodes of season 2 or something.
Really stupid on the part of Shonda Rhimes and the other creators. Rege was HUGE, they should have been smart enough to milk it for all it was worth. Instead, they went with the stupid "We're going exactly by the books" nonsense, and that gave us another couple who had little of the chemistry that the two from season 1 had. Even though Jonathan Bailey is hot.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | June 23, 2024 11:21 PM |
Is Violet Bridgerton not concerned that her children disappear as soon as they get married?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | June 24, 2024 12:13 AM |
Didn't Penelope have access to Ozempic or Wegovy over the summer ? Don't tell me The Ton didn't know about them.
If the camera want's to make Luke Newton's gorgeous new hairy pecs and nipples the star of the season, I'm fine with that.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | July 27, 2024 3:56 AM |
Nicolas has already piled the weight back on
by Anonymous | reply 53 | July 28, 2024 4:08 PM |
Just finished Season 3 - what a boring mess.
The camera crew really loved Nicola's tits, as those were the stars of the show (as far as the cameras were concerned). Luke Newton should have had more tit screentime - his chest was much more beautiful.
Acting-wise, Claudia Jessie is the star - pure talent. That actress can't seem to do anything wrong. Great comic timing, great facial reactions, great dramatic moments. (As I've been watching this the past few days, I couldn't help but wonder if she'd make a great 'Princess' in the new 'Once Upon A Mattress' revival on B'way).
Hannah Dodd is a delight to watch on the series as well, however not enough screen time.
Polly Walker is an interesting actress, but I can't get past the fact that she looks like a younger Rue McClanahan (when she was on 'Mama's Family' in the 80s).
On the flip side...
Adjoa Andoh is horrible - talk about facial over-acting (and she's not an attractive woman to be contorting her facial muscles that way).
Golda Rosheuvel is runner-up as worst actress on the show. Dull as dishwater.
Luke Thompson made gay sex look so boring. And he needs a dentist.

I’ve never seen this show and have disliked any of “Shondaland” I’ve been exposed to, but having just watched the preview posted by OP I’m so glad to hear the mellifluous voice of Dame Julie Andrews in her dotage… from just this cursory glance as a neophyte to this “universe”, the simple fact this fat chick is the lead and the object of desire for ridiculously beautiful and fit guys defies any reality, beyond the obvious woke casting and the hook of the show. Frau bait city. Pass.

OP- The man on the right with that mouth 👄 looks like he’s sucked a LOT of cocks.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | August 15, 2024 3:30 AM |
There are men who are very much into fat girls but chubby chasing strikes me as a relatively recherché paraphilia. I presume heterosexual males are not the intended Bridgerton audience so it does raise questions.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | August 15, 2024 11:43 AM |
I've always wondered why hot black males go for obese white women. It has never made sense to me. If it were up to me, these guys need to go gay ! LOL
