An in depth analysis. There are some interesting tidbits here such as Truman serving Fritos to Winston Churchill.
Again and again with this aspic shit.
Did anyone actually like eating gelatin with cold meat in it?

It vanished from WH menus thanks to the Clintons.

Least we forget Mamie Eisenhower's fabulous canned potatoes. Jackie Kennedy freaked out when she found hundreds of cans in the White House pantry... "What the fuck am I going to do with all these potatoes?"

" Dragon fighting tiger" which was a skinned cat and python. WTF were they thinking?!🤮

Was veal cheap in the 80s? The Reagans sure served a lot of it.

Sweet corn and tequila ice cream sounds vile🤮

I can’t decide if George W. Bush’s food was subversive or just lazy.

The 80s were when people starting learning how cruel veal production is. The Reagans were my first fuck your feelings president.

She ended up giving it to food banks for those on assistance.

I’d love to know who was there to report on Jackie‘s foul language regarding her discovery of Mamie‘s canned potatoes.

@r9, "She ended up giving it to food banks for those on assistance."
And the "Jackie on Assistance" name was born 😂

"That old cunt with the bangs wouldn't even offer me a wheelchair a week after my C-section when I toured the White House. I wanted to shove those canned potatoes up her ass" ðŸ˜

Were you meant to eat the aspic, or cut it open and just eat whatever was inside?

JFK's favorite dish was Sautéed Cerveaux.

Don't forget the fairy toast. We discussed one of her state dinners on the late, great "Mamie Eisenhower's low hangers" thread. We were WTF? It's as awful as it sounds. I can't remember which dignitary was visiting.

Why didn't they serve Mamie's Million Dollar Fudge?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 11, 2024 8:25 PM |
Thanks, r18. I did a quick search and couldn't find it. I thought it may have been for royalty (which makes it better) but leaned toward QEII. I was so taken aback by the fairy toast I forgot the other abominations on the menu.
Saltine Crackers (were they fancy back then?)
White Fish in Cheese Sauce
Crown Roast of Lamb Stuffed With Spanish Rice with mint jelly
Braised Celery
Orange and Roquefort Cheese Salad Bowl with French Dressing
A lot of the items suggest picnic. Coleslaw and Boston Brown Bread Sandwiches. Why, Mamie, why?

All the reporters crowd to see Bill and Hill at 41:20. Some of these women needed to have had a lesson on what to wear to a state dinner.

Are you referring to Hillary's caftan? We loved it on the other thread.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 13, 2024 7:36 PM |
No, Hillary's caftan was fine. Two women had their boobs hanging out. A couple were wearing cocktail dresses and others just displayed no taste in fashion.
