Is Somebody, Somewhere getting a third season?

Filming for season three wrapped last month. There has been no announcement on when it will air.

Third (and sadly final) season premiere date announced.

I hope it's funnier than season 2. I didn't laugh once.

Third season premiere was cute, although I didn't think it was as funny as what we're used to with this show.

Great ending, though. She just keeps collecting those Ls, something's gotta give by the end of the season.

Also Fred slowly being changed into something unrecognisable by his frau. Everything around her seems to be moving on... except her.

Why do I feel like someone is going to die? Bridget just breaks my heart.

Love this show. I will wait until a few episodes in to start Season 3 so I can watch more at once. This is the only show I have ever watched where the characters feel like friends of mine.

Yeah, that "when's the last time you went to see a doctor?" comment from her sister seems like dark foreshadowing.

R24. I was thinking either Brad or Fred.

I think they've announced this will be the final season; would be monumental if they killed the main character off at the end (well, maybe not monumental or groundbreaking--- looking at you Roseanne and Valerie Harper!)

This show is so painfully sweet and hilarious. I fucking love it and will be sad when it's over.

This show breaks my heart - I know, I Know - MARY! There's a moment where Bridgett Everett is telling Joel how happy she is for him that he is selling his house and putting on a happy face for him, and then we he leaves the room her facial expression subtlety breaks into sadness. I freaking love this show.

I had never heard of this show, 'Somebody Somewhere' until it popped up in my Netflix recommendations today. I decided to give it a shot, and ended up binging all of Season 1, Season 2, and the two episodes currently out in Season 3. I’m hooked!

This show actually made me laugh out loud a few times, which is rare for me. And as much as I usually don't get misty-eyed over TV, this one got to me a couple of times. It’s so beautifully written. Naturally, I had to check what DL thinks, and I'm glad I’m not the only one loving it. Sad to hear it’s the last season, but I get it.

That scene with Brad trying to express his feelings to Joel was beautiful. I wanted to smack Fred's wife. Bridget, as always, was honest and extraordinary. This is the kind of show that never finds a big audience and never wins awards. It's just too good.

Damn, this season is really building up to something dark. It's heartbreaking to watch, how Sam is made to feel like she's this imposition on all her friends, a loser who just brings everyone down. That scene where Brad tells her Joel had told him about her money problems and offers her a loan made her feel like a leech, I'm sure.

Joel is right that relationships (and marriage) are about compromise, but he's drowning in compromises at this point. Especially compared to Brad, who seems to have just subsumed him into his established routine (great juxtaposition between Sam and the church ladies). Joel didn't even think that not going to church is a possibility, that's how much Brad has overpowered his priorities in life.

But yes, the song was really cute.

The scene when she finds out Pepper the dog has been adopted was a tear jerker for me.

I forgot to mention the moment when she sees the whole setup Brad has going for him and Joel every morning and realises she might never have that herself. Feeling like an intruder, she leaves. She'll end up with the Icelandic bear, surely?

She will totally end up with that renter from Iceland. The scene where she met Pepper had me tearing up (Mary).

Would a breed like Pepper's really be at a shelter? I assume they're pretty expensive.

I also agree she'll end up with the Icelander. Still not convinced that line about her not having been to a doctor in years wasn't a foreshadowing.

Or perhaps Brad and Joel don't work out and she ends up living with Joel, which would also help her financial situation.

There's definitely a lot going on two episodes in. I adore this show.

I thought Brad's song was going to be cringe as hell, but the lyrics were actually quite beautiful. Still, I don't like public displays of affection like those, seems too intimate somehow.

R35. Sadly, sometimes dogs like Pepper do end up at shelters because their owners die and they have nowhere else to go. It seems he wasn't there very long. I'm going to predict Brad dies suddenly. Joel finally finds love and it's taken away from him.

Sad to hear that this is the final season.

I wish this had been given another season- a truly lovely show. When I think of the money hbo/max or whatever the fuck it’s called pisses away on crap like numerous dragons/thrones or how much they spend on And Just Like That it makes me angry.

They manage to wring out so much profundity out of small moments in a small town.

HBO could have canceled this after the first season. It's not a ratings blockbuster like GOT. They gave us three seasons and I'm grateful we got those.
