Do they ever look up from a script and say "who writes this cheesy shit?" or do they take it seriously.
Actors who do Hallmark movies

They thank their lucky stars and then go cash the big fat check they get for saying the cheesy shit.

Isn't there a Dove channel for the religious nuts who think Hallmark is too racy? Now those have got to be real z list actors.

I think the actors are well aware of the drivel they're working on, but the bills need to be paid.

Fuck you!

R2 so more poorly-acted tv movies with MORE white people?

I think Op and r1 are both right.
It would be a well-paying gig, and most of the actors who star in those movies get steady work. But it would also be a big comedown if you ever dreamed of being a serious actor.

Even poorer and whiter.

Personally, I would love to be the scriptwriter for these films: it must be the easiest job in the world. You take five vague, predictable stories with more plot holes than if they were made out of gruyere cheese, change the character's names and add whatever religious feast we're celebrating at any given point in the year, and you have a well-paid gig for the rest of your life.
As for the so-called actors R6, they are well remunerated and receive considerable exposure by not making much on an effort. I am sure that there are thousands of moderately talented models-turned-thespians who would be overjoyed to get the same opportunity.

It's easy work, it probably takes three days to shoot a whole movie!

It beats digging ditches.
