How on earth did a play with three white actors get produced on Broadway. Outrageous!!!

As my late mother was fond of saying “I’m sure they are very talented, but I have roses to arrange.”

Where did they get Lange's wig? The makeup and whatever else they've done to her face makes her look like hell.

Jessica Lange, the greatest actress of our time is a star.

I'm so amazed that Jim Parsons has been able to establish a career post Big Bang Theory. Truly - I thought that would be the end of him

Please report back R4. I’m going to be in NYC in two weeks. I would love to see it, especially with Jessica Lange. Anyone know the typical days the understudies are on?

Even the shittiest shows get standing ovations these days.

Give Jessica the Tony.

The audience is all gay men feverishly clapping seal-like (Joan Rivers) and musing, "Age is just a number!!".

I thought you had to turn off your phones inside the theatre.

Good God, those jowls on Jim Parsons at r17. He'll be refreshed as soon as the run ends.

Can't tell if she's laughing or crying.
Hideous.

Before I had my drivers' license I took the train into Boston to see Frances at the Exeter Street theater.
That one performance made a Jessica fan for good. Yes she's made some questionable cosmetic choices but I still see her.
I hope this show does well but I worry that J.L. might be a little too brittle to see it through.

I saw this on Sunday with my mom. John Waters, Holland Taylor, and Sarah Paulson were in attendance, but we had the better seats: Row B, dead center.
Lange was vibrant, emotive, captivating, and utterly incandescent. Keenan-Bolger was stoic and grounding, and Parsons was waggish and endearing. I've seen a few people describe this play as cliché but clichés spring from truth. Vogel’s work here may not be her most original but it is undoubtedly personal and effectively affecting. More than a handful of times I was moved to tears, and my mother cried throughout the last third of the show. Ultimately, it's a play that's as messy as life and memory and as impactful as both.
I plan on seeing this again.

Still recovering from the Laurie Metcalfe stinker last season, I look forward to seeing JL.

Why was John Waters there?

R25 To see Lange. After the show, I caught him going backstage. Years ago, he wanted Lange for Serial Mom, and they worked together on Feud.

Is the Lange Loon here yet?

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
