Trump Got His Bond

Trump secured the bond through Knight Specialty Insurance Company, which is owned by the privately-held Hankey Group, whose chairman told ABC News that he considers himself a Donald Trump supporter.

Mr Hankey knows Trump from way back. They run in similar circles (and directions).

Have a look at the Group's website. Hasn't Mr H done well for himself, R1?

by Anonymousreply 2April 2, 2024 1:23 PM

This is why people vote for him:

Just signs along the road that a complacent Democratic party and Trump deniers drive by on the way to a Trump presidency. Nothing to see here or worry your pretty little heads about.

by Anonymousreply 4April 2, 2024 3:37 PM

Oh look another Trump thread.

by Anonymousreply 5April 2, 2024 8:45 PM

Oh look, another idiot who has zero self control and can't keep himself from reading and posting on yet another Trump thread.

by Anonymousreply 6April 2, 2024 10:46 PM

R5, how do you not get sick beyond death of posting the same stupid shit?

by Anonymousreply 7April 2, 2024 11:09 PM

Well that’s too bad

by Anonymousreply 8April 3, 2024 12:34 AM

Not so fast..

r10 = hopelessly lost

by Anonymousreply 11April 7, 2024 3:16 PM

Will the Stormy case even go ahead on the 15th now that Trump has asked for the judge's recusal? That should take some time to resolve if he appeals the decision.

by Anonymousreply 12April 7, 2024 3:19 PM

I want to grab him by his neck pussy

by Anonymousreply 13April 7, 2024 3:27 PM

Now it looks like Hankey's company might not have the money to pay the bond.

by Anonymousreply 14April 7, 2024 3:31 PM

r14 I think that's old news, they've already submitted new financial statements since.

by Anonymousreply 15April 7, 2024 3:39 PM

Could be, I saw it in a headline yesterday.

by Anonymousreply 16April 7, 2024 3:44 PM

The insurance company is non-admitted, which means they do business with people who can’t be normal. Or really, they can’t place their business in the admitted market. These companies have different licensing which waives requirements because they sell to people who can’t be normal, or “standard”.

by Anonymousreply 17April 7, 2024 3:46 PM

Link, R15? I don't think Hankey's business changed that much in the 5 days since they guaranteed Trump's bond.

by Anonymousreply 18April 7, 2024 3:48 PM

Their business hasn't changed, but they submitted incorrect statements initially and have fixed that since. Saw it on the law subreddit yesterday.

by Anonymousreply 19April 7, 2024 4:31 PM

We did a bad-bad.

R18, Judge Engoran already scheduled a hearing on this last Friday for the 22nd of April. Apparently Knight/Hankey just “whiffed” the bond papers, didn’t list any of their own assets that would be used to cover the bond, etc It’s very sketchy. It seems they were trying to circumvent the law.

Well, you could knock me over with a feather.

The world is increasingly controlled by scum. Trump lovers if you want to see the future of the United States go check out Haiti.

by Anonymousreply 27April 8, 2024 4:45 PM

Welcome to Trump’s world of scam transactions. Hankey’s company isn’t licensed in NY, doesn’t have the money—and didn’t even promise to pay Tru p’s debt if he lost on appeal. It’s just hot air and delay.

Narrator: turns out that Donald did not in fact, post a real bond.

by Anonymousreply 29April 8, 2024 5:20 PM

Thanks for the cover, R27.

by Anonymousreply 30April 8, 2024 5:26 PM

The so-called surety bond apparently does not comply with New York State legal regulatory standards.

by Anonymousreply 31April 8, 2024 5:28 PM

They said we’ll post “the bond” but Trump will pay it. These people are unreal.

by Anonymousreply 32April 12, 2024 9:25 AM

We're seeking a delay...
