Children of gay Dads born via surrogacy are happier and healthier than other kids new research suggests
The claim kids raised by heterosexual couples
The claim kids raised by heterosexual couples tend to be less happy and healthy than those raised by gay men will be a surprise to many Intriguing findings that should allay fears over the claim surrogacy , especially to gay male couples, harms children .The research also claims gay men tend to have more effective parenting styles.

I remember a study showing that gay men had the lowest percentage of domestic violence compared to straight or lesbian couples. More family harmony = happier and more well-adjusted children.

r2 Good point-I had genuinely never heard that finding before but I dont doubt it for a minute.

Yes it's true because in central Europe, the white nations, all there is are single mommas or patch-work families where children suffer through violent boyfriends or evil step dads. Gay men couples decide to have children when they are financially stable and old and are less likeley to break up. That's why the children are happier there.

This will be fairly unsurprising to most of us but it's great to see these research findings.
But there will be people working around the clock to discredit and nullify these findings and come up with a different outcome to prove their narrative about gay people - i.e. that gay parents are all groomers and paedophiles and rape their children and their children's friends.

Did you fall down and hit your head on the ground again R4? You sound like an unhinged loon who makes up garbage and posts it on the Internet.

R3 I found the intimate partner violence study — it was published in 2018. Gay male couples had the lowest percentage of IPV compared to other couples, while straight men, as individuals, were the least likely to be victims of IPV than all other groups:
[quote]Life-time prevalence of IPV in LGB couples appeared to be similar to or higher than in heterosexual ones: 61.1% of bisexual women, 43.8% of lesbian women, 37.3% of bisexual men, and 26.0% of homosexual men experienced IPV during their life, while 35.0% of heterosexual women and 29.0% of heterosexual men experienced IPV. When episodes of severe violence were considered, prevalence was similar or higher for LGB adults (bisexual women: 49.3%; lesbian women: 29.4%; homosexual men: 16.4%) compared to heterosexual adults (heterosexual women: 23.6%; heterosexual men: 13.9%) (Breiding et al., 2013).

It's probably because 0% of those children are unplanned accidents that happen at a time when neither party was or responsible or stable enough to take on a parenting role. Most naturally born children aren't planned and the straights just adjust accordingly to haphazard mess they created and probably didn't even really want (the fathers).

Women are more comfortable putting their hands on others (especially other women) because they don't expect to get hit the fuck back.

Children of gay Dads born via surrogacy...
How many gay men that were born via surrogacy are now adults having children?

R9 Those percentages are a bit deceiving because they include male partners. For example, 43.8 percent of lesbians with at least one male partner reported IPV, while only 30% of lesbians who’ve had exclusively female partners reported IPV. (That’s still higher than gay men, though.)
[quote]The CDC also stated that 43.8% of lesbian women reported experiencing physical violence, stalking, or rape by their partners. The study notes that, out of those 43.8%, two thirds (67.4%) reported exclusively female perpetrators. The other third reported at least one perpetrator being male, however the study made no distinction between victims who experienced violence from male perpetrators only and those who reported both male and female perpetrators. Similarly, 61.1% of bisexual women reported physical violence, stalking, or rape by their partners in the same study with 89.5% reporting at least one perpetrator being male.

r13 Yeah, they definitely screwed up, here. It's actually a stat out there that shows bisexual women are at a higher risk of sexual assault and rape compared to both lesbian and straight women. Most of them are victimized by males. Bisexual men also experience IPV more than gay and straight men.

Children of the gays are also more likely to be predators, drug abusers, and known listeners of Judy Garland.

I'm expecting this research to be used in the UK debate on surrogacy when the surrogacy reform legislation comes back to parliament.

As a gay dad via surrogacy and as someone with a bit of research/statistics and psych background.. well, yeah. Of course.
In this unusual group, 100% of the children are wanted, planned for, and highly likely to be well cared for and loved. And 100% are not socioeconomically low income.
I wouldn’t infer anything further than that.

r24 Well under some surrogacy models eg of the altruistic or non commercial kind it would be possible to be from a low income social economic group.

r25 A ban of any kind from the republicans would be hypocritical given that one of their biggest funders Elon Musk has probably had more kids via surrogacy than ANYONE in the whole world.

They might want to compare wanted children of the same economical status. I would guess it's about equal then.

Given the gay dads I've met, I think there is a risk sometimes of the kid being spoiled because the dads want to appear as the perfect parents given society's judgment, so they buy the kid everything, but that's the only downside. In every other way, we are superior to straight people. That kid is going to get a good education and look good doing it.
