That looks more like Leonard Bernstein than Andy Cohen. AI has a way to go because it doesn’t capture any of Cohen’s interior or exterior ugliness and, more specifically and importantly, his wonk eye.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 1, 2024 3:48 AM |
Thank you for this thread OP. It's fantastic!

Like "The Thing" levels of weird.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 1, 2024 3:58 AM |
Wow, OP/R8. How beautiful he was!
It still pains me how he had to act to become whatever it was gatekeepers; and how those indignities eventually killed him bit by bit

I’ve never found Ansel Elgort attractive, but the guy at R39 looks beautiful. Doesn’t look like Elgort at all.
Brad Pitt at R39 is faithful to his likeness and very well done.

Most of the AI versions are handsome but many don't really get the face resemblance correct. It's great when the AI really does resemble the real person. AI Armie's face looks morphed with an AI Matt Bomer. AI Andy Cohen's face is very handsome but doesn't much resemble Andy.

None of these looks like Tuke’s work, except for the seaside setting.
In a Tuke painting they’d all be naked. Though viewed from behind…
And Tuke’s lighting is incandescent. These are just bland.

Also for more racial diversity his fellow STV co-stars Garrett Wang (who came out for gay marriage on a late 90s Fox news type show (right wing vibes) that shocked the host so much he repeated the question to him to make sure Garrett understood the question/topic & his answer was exactly the same LOL) & Robert Beltran.

You downlod the Wonder AI app r302 and prompt something like "actor's name, in the style of Scott Henry Tuke, masterpiece". It costs money but there are places online that do it for free and even let you prompt dirty pictures ;)

This has been fun, OP. Thanks. It is amazing at the variation. Some are near photography, some romantic ideations, others pretty off. But all very entertaining. Fun, I suppose, but most of their bodies don't have the proportions of men/boys of the late 19th century. See: lithe. Even the facial structure of men in the late 19th century is very much different than those of the 21st century. It's evolution.
And while the shirtless ones might evoke some prurient interest, the pecs and arms are ridiculous. No one but professional body builders went to gyms in the 1800s.
Again, maybe fun, but does no one have a problem with this as it explodes in popularity? Should no one ever again study painting because it's just as easy to fake it?
Maybe I am the only curmudgeon. I find it sad that the work of a famous artist that has created numerous indelible images can be, with a few keystrokes, supplanted by a computer app. A computer app!
I can't stop it but I don't have to like it.
