“The First Omen”- anyone watching the new sequel to The Omen?

This was really good. Like 3 times better than "Immaculate" (similar story: evil Catholics). Acting, music, lighting, plot, cinematography... and jump-scary moments.

R1 it’s nothing alike.

Isn’t it a “prequel”? It seems to be getting favourable ratings.

They totally violated the best plot twist from the original -

that Damian was the unholy union of Satan and a jackal.

This sucks.

Watched it last night. It's a mixed bag. Half an hour too long, they needed a better lead, and some of the plot twists make zero sense, but overall it's fun. Sonia Braga is a bitter old nun and there's lots of terrible wigs to keep DLers entertained.

It's not as good as the first three Omens but it's miles ahead of "Omen 4" (yes, there was an "Omen 4" about Satan's toddler daughter, one of the worst child actors ever).

Omen V was to be "Abbott and Costello Meet Damien"
