I don't care how young they were. There is something wrong with a person, especially a child, who thinks stabbing someone is the solution to whatever the problem was, short of imminent danger to someone's life.

Apparently the "small children" were actually two brothers, ages 12 and 7/8, depending on the article.

The older kid was the one who did the actual stabbing (of course) while little bro just tagged along and watched.

The victim was of Asian descent (from a family of Laotian refugees).
