Kal Penn has had sufficient

And he worked in the Obama White House.

Oh what glorious virtue signaling

by Anonymousreply 1March 30, 2024 11:05 PM

Enjoy four more years of Trump, Kal.

by Anonymousreply 2March 30, 2024 11:14 PM

I voted for Dean Phillips and I still got a sticker.

by Anonymousreply 3March 30, 2024 11:24 PM

Is this from his Twitter. I was just on X and didn’t see this post in his feed.

by Anonymousreply 4March 30, 2024 11:35 PM

It's from his Instagram story.

by Anonymousreply 5March 30, 2024 11:36 PM

Instagram.

by Anonymousreply 6March 30, 2024 11:36 PM

Kal Penn speaks for progressive youth

by Anonymousreply 7March 30, 2024 11:41 PM

Thanks, Boris!

by Anonymousreply 8March 31, 2024 12:14 AM

Well, he sure showed Biden!

by Anonymousreply 9March 31, 2024 1:13 AM

Yep, that's a real knee-slapper.

by Anonymousreply 10March 31, 2024 1:19 AM

* Get me some coffee you fucking whore!*

by Anonymousreply 11March 31, 2024 1:35 AM

by Anonymousreply 14March 31, 2024 1:44 AM

i wrote in my own name, got one vote, and made the news!

by Anonymousreply 15March 31, 2024 1:45 AM

Who cares what that fugly snow queen does.

by Anonymousreply 16March 31, 2024 1:45 AM

Someone go rip him a new one on Instagram.

by Anonymousreply 17March 31, 2024 1:46 AM

Why did he say 'Whew'? The W isn't even near the N on the keyboard.

by Anonymousreply 18March 31, 2024 1:49 AM

He’s right! I’m voting for my friend, Jill Stein.

by Anonymousreply 19March 31, 2024 1:50 AM

LOL. I rarely/never use Instagram to communicate R17, but I … think i just sent him a nasty respone. Guess we will see if he responds.

by Anonymousreply 20March 31, 2024 1:50 AM

How. Brave.

by Anonymousreply 21March 31, 2024 2:04 AM

Kal Penn is a closet MAGA

by Anonymousreply 22March 31, 2024 2:51 AM

I just lost all respect for Penn.

He should just lay down and present hole on a lazy susan at the next log cabin meeting.

by Anonymousreply 23March 31, 2024 2:56 AM

Fuck this guy.

Glad he got chubby.

by Anonymousreply 24March 31, 2024 2:58 AM

R23 "He should just lay down and present hole on a lazy susan at the next log cabin meeting. "

You mean, again?

by Anonymousreply 25March 31, 2024 3:00 AM

well he blocked me, so I assume I did the message right.

On a side note, Instagram stories are as bad as Tik Tok. just unhinged. i deleted the app.

by Anonymousreply 26March 31, 2024 3:02 AM

R20, looks like he deleted the entire posting.

Just logged into Instagram and it is not there at all.

by Anonymousreply 27March 31, 2024 3:09 AM

I find it hilarious how Michael Moore began the do not vote for Biden protest vote (uncommitted) in Michigan for the Biden Administrations policy with Israel, and now claims he's concern that the 2024 may be problematic for Biden. I recall how in 2004 he was trying to persuade Ralph Nader not to run as Independent candidate because it will only take votes away from Kerry and help Bush get reelected. Now his actions are basically doing the same thing and helping Trump in 2024.

by Anonymousreply 28March 31, 2024 3:14 AM

R28 because Michael Moore knows Biden will not be the nominee.

by Anonymousreply 29March 31, 2024 12:36 PM

[quote]Kal Penn speaks for progressive youth

Kal Penn speaks to the primary. I have little doubt that he will vote Democratic in the general.

by Anonymousreply 30March 31, 2024 12:40 PM

It’s all over Israel.

by Anonymousreply 31March 31, 2024 12:41 PM

R30 I agree!

by Anonymousreply 32March 31, 2024 12:46 PM

by Anonymousreply 33March 31, 2024 1:10 PM

R27 because it is a screenshot from a STORY

Jesus, Boomers.

by Anonymousreply 34March 31, 2024 1:13 PM

Well, OP, maybe we should just shelve the whole damn election because Kal Penn's feelings are hurt. Cancel the whole damn shootin' match and crown Trump emperor for eternity. Sounds like a solid, well thought out plan.

by Anonymousreply 35March 31, 2024 1:16 PM

So he's one of those Queers for Palestine, is he?

by Anonymousreply 36March 31, 2024 1:55 PM

It doesn’t matter when in the process but anytime you encourage or promote not voting…you are playing with fire.

If Trump is reinstated…this will haunt him forever.

Sometimes people get in the weeds, dig in their heels, and can’t see the big picture.

My guess is he will get super defensive and blame everyone else if Trump gets back in.

by Anonymousreply 37March 31, 2024 2:21 PM

It's a Primary contest list. Stop losing your shit, people.

It makes no difference to the general election, which hasn't happened yet.

And Biden is still the Democratic candidate, handily. There's no threat or risk here.

by Anonymousreply 38March 31, 2024 2:25 PM

Wealthy people who are not born in the United States have options, they're detached from the outcome of any election.

If the whole democracy thing is finished, they don't care either way.

by Anonymousreply 39March 31, 2024 2:25 PM

To be fair, neither does Biden or he would have had January 6 investigated sooner.

by Anonymousreply 40March 31, 2024 3:13 PM

President Biden is responsible for the current war in Gaza and not investigating J6. Interesting.

by Anonymousreply 41March 31, 2024 3:17 PM

Any young liberal voter spreading this "they're all equally bad" bullshit should be shot.

by Anonymousreply 42March 31, 2024 3:17 PM

President Biden is responsible for the current war in Gaza and not investigating J6. Conversely, his predecessor isn't responsible for deaths of millions from covid.

by Anonymousreply 43March 31, 2024 3:19 PM

So many Democrats seem to want Dump to win. They must be paying too much in rich people taxes.

by Anonymousreply 44March 31, 2024 3:21 PM

Too little. But wealthy parasites prefer to pay no taxes at all.

by Anonymousreply 45March 31, 2024 3:22 PM

The long, slow dystopia of America’s corporate capitalism is also pretty boring. So some doomers court political upsets for entertainment purposes.

by Anonymousreply 46March 31, 2024 4:00 PM

His federal vote for President doesn't really matter. He's in California.

by Anonymousreply 47March 31, 2024 4:04 PM

I don't get people...Biden is doing a great job, especially given Congress. Obama could get nothing done 6 of his eight years due to a GOP-held congress and Senate, including getting his SCOTUS pick in.

by Anonymousreply 48March 31, 2024 4:08 PM

But r48 people liked him.

by Anonymousreply 49March 31, 2024 4:17 PM

R28, Michael Moore has a habit of doing shit like that. He did the same thing in 2000 with Bush vs Gore. He claimed there was little difference between Gore and Bush. I think we can all say what BS that is.

by Anonymousreply 50March 31, 2024 4:36 PM

R48, I'm with you. I think the biggest weakness of the Biden administration is the messaging. They need someone who can really hammer home how great the Biden administration has been.

by Anonymousreply 51March 31, 2024 4:37 PM

The Biden admin needs to put some young people front and center to do that messaging, R51. Enough with the ANCIENT

by Anonymousreply 52March 31, 2024 4:40 PM

And I should give a Shit, why?

by Anonymousreply 53March 31, 2024 4:40 PM

Did this many people whine about old age being a big deal with Reagan? He had actual Alzheimers during his second term but nobody seemed to care. And it's amusing to me that the same people who whine about old age love Bernie Sanders.

by Anonymousreply 54March 31, 2024 4:42 PM

The country was much younger back then, R54. Now the young people in the 80s are the OLD PEOPLE NOW and boy are they much more of a mess.

by Anonymousreply 55March 31, 2024 4:44 PM

Fuck him.

by Anonymousreply 56March 31, 2024 4:44 PM

R54 Republicans would have whined about Reagan in 1984 if Reagan was running in 1984 with his mind of 1988, and if Reagan’s opponent was the Reverend Al Sharpton who was polling higher than Reagan, and Reverend Al Sharpton was threatening to make Tawana Brawley his running mate.

by Anonymousreply 57March 31, 2024 4:47 PM

R57 lies. Republicans don't criticize their own. They are clannish and lack such self-awareness.

by Anonymousreply 58March 31, 2024 4:51 PM

Perhaps we've had sufficient of Kal Penn?

by Anonymousreply 59March 31, 2024 5:04 PM

He had it as an Instagram story. Not a post. I follow him and just saw it. I was going to send a message, but he’d probably just block me.

by Anonymousreply 60March 31, 2024 9:02 PM

Does anyone remember when Kal got in trouble during the Obama days? I forget what happened but I remember the story was posted on DL at the time and everyone was saying it was a hookup gone bad or something. Even back then, everyone on DL was insisting that Kal was gay.

by Anonymousreply 61March 31, 2024 9:46 PM

R58 “they are clannish and self-awareness”

Also r58 “everything you say is a lie and only Biden can save us”

by Anonymousreply 62March 31, 2024 9:51 PM

Why couldn't cutie John Cho have been the gay one?

by Anonymousreply 63March 31, 2024 10:04 PM

Do it, r60!

by Anonymousreply 64April 1, 2024 1:12 AM

He was my partner's RA at UCLA!

He was not out back then, but supportive of my semi-closeted partner.

by Anonymousreply 65April 1, 2024 2:05 AM

r42 But the old ones saying it are fine?

by Anonymousreply 66April 1, 2024 2:10 AM

R54, Reagan was obviously bad for the country in many ways, but in terms of the age issue, he was not as old as Biden is now. Biden is the oldest President in history by several years. Trump is older than Reagan was, too.

by Anonymousreply 67April 1, 2024 8:18 AM

I hate these “he’s too old, so I’m not gonna vote” whiners!

Is Kal Penn also anti-Kamala? As a gay Indian American voice, he needs to be slapped.

His acting career had dried up, now that he’s too fat and middle aged. He’s bitter. It must suck to be his husband. I

R69, anyone who helps clear a path to another Trump presidency should be assaulted.

by Anonymousreply 70April 1, 2024 9:13 AM

He should keep his mouth shut. No one is assaulting him.

by Anonymousreply 71April 1, 2024 9:43 AM

They got engaged in 2021 (when his book came out too….).

I still don’t think they ever got married.

by Anonymousreply 72April 1, 2024 9:48 AM

[quote] Biden is the oldest President in history by several years. Trump is older than Reagan was, too.

So we are going to fixate on Biden's age when the president the GOP reveres had ACTUAL ALZHEIMER'S IN HIS SECOND TERM? Yes, makes total sense.

by Anonymousreply 73April 1, 2024 1:24 PM

To be fair Franklin Roosevelt also hid his physical decline.

by Anonymousreply 74April 1, 2024 1:29 PM

[quote] So we are going to fixate on Biden's age when the president the GOP reveres had ACTUAL ALZHEIMER'S IN HIS SECOND TERM?

As noted Reagan's disability developed shortly before he finished his second term and left office. Not before he was even nominated for his first.

by Anonymousreply 75April 1, 2024 1:36 PM

Reagan's mental limitations became obvious early in his second term.

by Anonymousreply 76April 1, 2024 1:39 PM

Et tu Jon Favreau?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 77April 4, 2024 4:32 AM

Favreau was hired as Obama's speechwriter shortly after Obama's election to the United States Senate. Obama and Favreau grew close, and Obama referred to him as his "mind reader". He went on the campaign trail with Obama during his successful presidential election campaign.

As Obama's mind reader, this must mean Obama has not changed his mind of his earlier prescient comment: "Don't Underestimate Joe's Ability To Fuck Things Up ".

That includes everyone who did nothing to have someone other than Biden be the Democratic nominee. I can’t think of any people who are more responsible for clearing a path to another Trump presidency than them.

by Anonymousreply 80April 4, 2024 5:46 AM

Good for Kal. I voted for Phillips. It was a protest vote because I am unhappy with Biden.

by Anonymousreply 81April 4, 2024 7:15 AM

I actually think this is the straw that broke the camel’s back. He should have dropped out March 31.

I actually think Joe has handled the Gaza matter well up to this point, but I have from the start felt he would at some point stick a knife into Israel's back.

Party support now is about evenly split. It's about time, especially now that 𝑫𝒐𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 Jill Biden has jumped in.

Failure in Afghanistan and Gaza would be two impressive bookends for his time in the White House.
