I got into it with Chris Cuomo too, back in 2016. I cannot stand that shitheel. I've interacted with John Dean. He's a cool guy. Rachel Bitcoffer once "liked" something I said. Ken Dilanian blocked me because I called him an ass.

I am not surprised Chris Cuomo is such a jerk. I have a guy friend who is Italian-American and I asked him whether calling someone "Fredo" (the weak link Corleone brother in The Godfather) was a huge insult. My friend said it actually is a huge insult. Anyway, I still think Chris Cuomo overreacted to being called Fredo by some random douchebag.

I engaged in a Twitter feud with drunk Cap'n Shandy from Below Deck.

I called her out for her publicly berating her employees in front of other employees on a recent episode of the show, and she shot back that she's had years of management experience and that I should pay attention and learn something.

I shot back that I, too, had years of management experience and that one of the first things you learn as a manager is to never discipline or demean an employee in front of other employees, and that I was surprised she didn't know that.

The bitch then blocked me.

I've shared before that I was also one of several here blocked by the fabulous Brendad Ickson (aka Brenda Dickson). I made a harmless comment that many of us would love to see what she truly looked like now as opposed to odd cartoonish photoshop attempts. When I went to check on the lovely lady the following day, I had been blocked.

Forgot a few: Ricky Gervais liked a tweet of mine (old Twitter) and Ben Mankiewicz wished my son congratulations on his high school graduation (son is a big TCM fan). I follow Cecilia Peck on Instagram (yes, I’m crazy about her dad but also worked in non-fiction programming years ago) and she’s pretty engaging.

The goofiest one? Keanu Reeves added me to his top four friends once on MySpace for about two months and I got hit with hundreds of DMs from women asking how I knew him…never met the guy.

Lawyer John Morgan and I shared a few texts back and forth on IG. He’s very witty. He also fired a group of marketing employees who protested the company’s “Size Matters” tagline. Love the guy.

I shared an old pic of Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) on Instagram saying how hot he was and the man himself commented. That was a bit of a (nice) surprise.

Not really a celebrity but I looked the actor David Paisley up on Twitter/X and found he'd blocked me. I'd never interacted with him in my life. What a weirdo.

I tweeted Rebecca Front about a book she'd written about her phobias and got a lovely message back.

When I was still on Twitter I had a friend request from Taye Diggs.

A few years back, Chris O'Dowd posted a picture on his Twitter account and asked his followers to write a funny caption for it.

He chose my caption as his favorite and congratulated me for my wit.

I once DMed Mexican actor David Zepeda and asked him when he'll finally come out. He blocked me instantly, lol.

There are stars who have PAs and a whole bunch of people around them, who probably don't manage their own social media. And then there are most other celebrities who have a more direct interest. In some cases the older ones thought social media was a novelty and enjoyed being on it. And the younger ones are very media savvy. Delanian kept making assertions on TV as a journalist/analyst, that were just wrong. So I kept nudging him. I wasn't rude, I was just challenging him by asking questions. And the fucker blocked me.

Well, you can’t blame Gail for Krakoa ending. It’s not her fault Marvel gave up on the most interesting thing they’d done with the X-Men in like a decade. I think Uncanny is probably the best of the X-books currently, although that’s not saying much.

For me, what impressed me is just how approachable she is. Back when she was still on Birds of Prey (I think this was after Blackest Night, because Hawk and Dove were on the team), she did a bit with two characters, Savant and Creote, who started off as villains. Creote was pretty always shown as gay and in love with Savant, and Gail eventually revealed that Savant was also gay, and completely oblivious to how Creote felt. Anyway, there was a plot which looked very much like Bury Your Gays thing, and I went after her for that, and she was actually very kind and told me to be patient. Of course, it turned out to be not what it appeared, and she was very gracious when I said I should have had more faith in her, and she told me that she got it, and she understood why I would be pissed off. The amazing thing was , YEARS later, when JK Rowling’s trans issues first came forward (we are not going to debate them or her, or the existence of trans people) someone had commented to Gail that she didn’t get everything right all the time either. Gail agreed, and said that she knew that, but always tried to learn and not make the same mistake. I made some comment about how she’s also very gracious with other people who misjudge her works, citing the episode. She not only remembered, she responded “That’s very kind of you, but of course I accepted your apology. YOU WERE RIGHT, it looked like a shitty trope.”

She put something on BlueSky a few weeks back about how she had written over 700 comics, and some incel who didn’t know who she was said something like “Yeah, but has anyone read them?” Without missing a beat, she responded “I write Uncanny X-Men, Timmy.” That wasn’t even his name.
