[quote] San Antonio private investigator Charlie Parker has been advising the family. He says they conducted a comprehensive social media search and tracked Caleb’s license plate. “Wherever there are cameras, it takes a picture of that plate and sites it,” said Parker. “So, we sited the truck even though he wasn’t missing in the truck because we wanted to find out if maybe there was a different lifestyle that [his family] didn’t know about. We shared that information with his father and there was nothing unusual about where the truck was going.” Parker says Caleb’s social media activity appeared normal too.

What he ordered to be delivered by Uber Eats was from a local convenience store. Based on what he ordered he apparently needed a sodium, sugar, and caffeine fix. This timeline is from a local media source called Corpus Christi Cronica:
●Around 2 a.m., Harris's roommate reported last seeing him preparing his fishing reels for a planned fishing trip before going to bed on the couch for the night.
●At either 2:20 a.m. or 3:20 a.m., an Uber Eats pickup was made from a Stripes Store on Flour Bluff Drive, indicating Harris ordered two lunchables and a Red Bull. The timestamp on the pickup from Stripes is noted as 3:20 a.m., but there could be a one-hour discrepancy.
●At 2:44 a.m., Harris sent another Snapchat, this time featuring a dog in a parking lot.
●Shortly after, at 2:58 a.m., Harris returned to the apartment with the dog after a walk.
●Subsequent to 2:58 a.m., Harris's phone either turned off or died, with its last ping traced to The Cottages. Notably, Harris did not have his shoes, wallet, or truck keys with hi. However, his fishing poles were all accounted for and the Uber Eats delivery was found left on porch area.

Uber Eats/Postmates is the new avocado toast.
I can't believe the number of times I see 20 & 30 year olds say they ordered from them, and then bitch about home prices.
In my area Uber Eats routinely adds to the cost of the item (anywhere from 50 cents to $2.00), then charges a delivery fee, and then you should/have to tip.
Those $2.99 lunchables likely cost twice that after all said and done.

The reason I posted this (though R87 is right that it was completely off topic), is I have a credit card (Amex Gold), that gives a $10 a month Uber/Uber Eats credit. The ONLY way this credit is remotely feasible for Uber Eats, is if you order an item that has no/minimal upcharge (which is rare, I've seen upcharges of $10+ on Popeye's buckets for example), AND pick it up yourself.
Uber Eats/Postmates/GrubHub are just a ridiculous waste of money.
Yes, I've seen the reddit posts:

And that would with jibe with his last snapchat showing him out near a bridge (below).
The photo has been making the rounds, but the caption has apparently been removed, but people who know someone who received it say that it says, "drunk hitler" ... WTF? .. This is from one of those crazyville, true crime groups on Fraubook discussing the case. .. This is a bridge that's near where he lives. It basically over a drainage ditch. Who was paying his bills? Mom and Dad I bet but they didn't think it was wasteful that their son was splurging on food delivery on credit? Without a job? I am sure they go the bill. Even if they could afford it, not a good lesson for a child still in school. Imaging how many other poor decisions he was making if that didn't even raise an eyebrow with his parents.

R134 I've wondered that too. I've heard no mention of a job. Of course, maybe he just doesn't have a current one. But like you've expressed, I'm thinking mom and dad just let him have a debit card with some kind of monthly allowance. .. As for the food he ordered, I believe Mom said something about that's his typical take-away for a fishing trip, so perhaps it doesn't surprise them any. I guess you;'d have to know how common this type of expense is. If his parents foot the bill, they probably get the statement.

It's only squandering money in the context of your budget and choices. Many people have money to burn and consume without much care. To them, it's not squandering.
by Anonymous | reply 141 | March 22, 2024 12:48 AM |
Get a clue r141. It's NOT about having money to burn and therefore not seeing it as squandering. It's about teaching a KID how to be responsible with his money, weather it's 50 dollars or 50 million dollars. If you don't care about that and teach them that when they are young, you end just like all the other fucked up kids of rich people.
This is how you end up with a person like Tucker Carlson the Swanson child who never had to worry about how much things cost and then was totally clueless when trying to score a political point while shopping in Russia. He made an idiot of himself because he had no clue how regular people in the US spend their money.

Some people must not have gone to college or are now too old to remember such typical youthful behavior. .. I can't tell you how many times I stayed up all night when I was in college, visiting with friends, or studying, or eating and sleeping at different times based on changing class schedules and/or alternating work hours at part-time jobs. .. "Middle of the night" was often when I would go running or work out or just try to relax, do laundry, work on my bike, or simply organize things for the upcoming day. .. Friends were like that as well. .. "Chaos" was normal. The only routine thing was that the routine would more than likely change.
His parents don't seem too surprised about his activity either, saying:
[quote] He [father] noted that Caleb Harris had been preparing for school the next day, packing lunch and texting with his father about his plans before he disappeared. His mother, Becky Harris, said her son was a “creature of habit” and that his Uber Eats order of two Lunchables, an apple pie and a Red Bull was not out of the ordinary — especially since Caleb Harris had been planning on going fishing after classes Monday. “That’s typically what he takes whenever he goes out fishing,” she said.

It's not about college age students eating crap food. It's about the oddity of paying so much for it when the same amount of money could by 4 times as much and better quality if you just bothered to walk into the store or order a meal from an actual restaurant.
I will say it again, if this happened 20 years ago it would be the equivalent of paying a taxi driver full rate to go to a gas station by himself and pick up and deliver cold, expired Sushi. That's not normal behavior. It's not the money, A normal person would just have food delivered from a local restaurant.

It's probably more "normal" for a college-age kid to not think about such things, if their parents are footing the bill. .. We know he wasn't paying for his cell phone, because Dad mentioned in one of his interviews that they were able to get the records from AT&T immediately, because it's in his name. .. Kid might live off a debit card provided by them as well.

Perhaps there was a a very tightly wound but, very sensible, very fiscally responsible young man who lived n the same apartment complex. This young man kept his finances in a little ledger he carried in his knapsack and only spent money after carefull comparison shopping whether the purchase was bubblegum or bath soap. You see, His parents had raised him to understand the value of a dollar and it was by virtue of this good upbringing that he was living peacefully in his little studio apartment where he collected dolls and played wordle while watching the golden girls every night, but only after balancing his check book and dusting the entire house.
One would think a person of such commendable habits would enjoy great popularity in the college town and yet, strangely this neighbor to the missing man had no social life to speak of . sometimes he would be distracted from polishing one of his antique Edwardian doorknobs by the noise of his rauccus neighbor, a person of no self control, careless with money, reckless with time. A person with friends and a puppy and great big smile and no fiscal plan and more happiness in any minute of the day than our tightly wound hero had had in his entire life
There were moments when just thinking of this happy neighbor caused the vein in his forehead to visibly pulse with rage... and one night.... he had enough.

by Anonymous | reply 184 | March 25, 2024 6:30 AM |
It's ridiculous to assume anything about his eating and spending habits from just ONE known transaction. Even if he likes to take Lunchables on his fishing trips (per mom) that doesn't mean he eats them all the time, nor does it mean that he has Uber deliver food to him all the time. We know he has a truck for transportation. It's still at the student apartment complex.
If people are going to say he's eating poorly and spending too much money on bad food just based on this last purchase, then why not also commend him for going out and catching his own healthy, fresh fish to eat and point out all the money he's been saving by not buying it in a supermarket at retail cost ($10 - $20 per lb.)?
by Anonymous | reply 185 | March 25, 2024 7:02 AM |
Who cares what he ate. He obviously was planning on stuff the next day and he's missing and probably dead. Foul play? Sex crazed serial killer after young men? Weird accident (so where's the body?) R204 There are lots of ditches and culverts in the area. See the last photo he took at R123. It's a bridge over one of them that can hold run off. It's basically right across the street from where he lives. There are also wetlands in the area. They called in dive teams and also searched areas with drones. They're in Corpus Christi near the Gulf, so the ocean is nearby. I don't think there are basements or attics where he lives, though. He lives in an apartment complex converted into student housing. It's been said there are about 30 vacant units, and they searched all of them.

He says the first thing that came up was a selfie of a girl in a bra with her face covered. He thinks it showed that he'd been on Discord, but wasn't sure if that was the site. Or maybe he dropped his phone in a storm drain, became stuck while trying to retrieve it and starved to death. Ironic because his Uber Eats delivery was probably on the sidewalk just a few feet away.

by Anonymous | reply 276 | April 7, 2024 4:59 AM |
Yeah, I looked at that Reddit yesterday.
Some things I noticed were:
1) The stated sex and age match up: Male 21.
2) The i.d. was established in January 2024, so rather new to the scene.
3) Whoever it is, usually looks for girls, but occasionally goes M4A.
4) Besides the CorpusChristiNSFW chat to hook up with people, this person would also go to JerkOffChat a lot. Also, went to KinkTown a couple of times.
4) The last post asked if anyone (M4A) could hook up at the Oso Bay hiking trails - which are just southeast of where Harris lives.
5) A couple of the pics that this user put up of his cock could believably be Harris (i.e. hair color, skin tone, body type). Someone who knows Harris, should weigh in on whether he's cut or not.
6) There's been no activity from this Reddit for a month now, which doesn't fit with the activity level seen during the first three months of 2024, yet that lapse in activity would fit with how long Harris has been missing for.
So this could be him, or not. .. Then again, he could have just as easily stumbled across a lost alligator in the fog that night and been eaten.
by Anonymous | reply 277 | April 7, 2024 7:16 AM |
I saw "his" cock on the Reddit thread. It's looks like it could be his as R277 says. Also it was pretty used up - dry and chapped. Like he jerks off a lot with no lube. Very tight circumcision. Pretty ugly cock. Hairy belly but shaved pubes. Just not appetizing. 🤢

r280, just Googled "M4A". I thought it might be "Man 4 Ass" but it is "Man 4 All". So, he was young and Bi in a nowhere town in a Red State, which means he was gay. He hooked up with some MAGA homophobes who hunt to kill gays for sport at 3am.
Or, he ran off with a handsome, Latino Daddy, fled his Xtian MAGA kinfolks, and is now enjoying his new life on a pineapple ranch with a beach somewhere south of the border. He's catching sea bass and learning how to make fish tacos and salads with fresh, local produce. He's from Texas, knows how to man a BBQ, and is introducing the art of grilled pineapple to the community. No more Lunchables. Ever.
He looks like a sweet kid, despite Texas. Hope he's OK.

A few more things about that Reddit user that make me go Hmmmm ...
- The user's avatar is of an animated character who is FISHING. (The missing kid's favorite thing to do in life.) The character is holding a wooden fishing pole with a banana as the bait.
- Another chat room this Reddit user checked out is called TAMUCCNSFW. That would be the "Texas A&M University Corpus Christi NSFW" one (where he goes to college), and it's supposed to be for university student's only. .. It doesn't look too active, but when this user went there, they wanted to know if any girls posted there.
- If you hover over the very last post this user put up - the one related to the nearby Oso Bay hiking trail - it's not just from a month ago, but the very same date and within the hour that Harris disappeared: MARCH 4, 2024 at 8:15 AM GMT. .. Convert Greenwich Mean Time to Central Time (-6), and you get 2:15 AM - so about 45 minutes before the last cell phone photo at the bridge.
Coincidental ??

[quote] The Harris family wants to thank everyone who has helped in each and every way to find Caleb. However, due to the exhaustive and thorough searches already completed throughout Corpus Christi for the past 35 days, the Harris family is requesting efforts to find Caleb spread out and move to San Antonio and other areas. At this time, the BEST way to help with these efforts will be by handing out/posting flyers and getting Caleb's face known and recognized everywhere! We appreciate your assistance with this.

R289 Thanks ;) .. Since your reply a couple days ago, I've read confirmation that the authorities are aware of the Reddit account from one of admins at the Facebook page, so with the resources the police have, they've probably been able to confirm whether or not it belonged to Harris. .. Perhaps those communications were on the laptop they took into evidence. .. But on the subject of confirmation, the admin will not allow any talk about the account on the FB page even referring to it as the "R account" in her admonishment, claiming legal reasons and that it's "being kept tight lipped for a reason."

There's been something of an UPDATE, and I'm guessing this is legit, because it's been posted by one of the Admins at the Facebook "Missing: Talk of Caleb Harris" page. She seems to have and 'in' with the family, and takes things down that she doesn't like.
Anyway, there's apparently a change to the timeline, and the last place Harris was seen. The Admin writes:
[quote] TIMELINE CHANGE. Now Caleb was seen by a witness walking his dog around 3:40AM under the overpass at SPID.
This is apparently from a witness the police find credible. It's also possible they've known about it for awhile now. It was discussed on live TikTok podcast. People say the guy usually posts these things after the fact on youtube, so might be forthcoming. User: JustinOnTikTok
Posters are asking about the Uber Eats delivery and why it would still be at the door? That is being explained by the fact that there are two doors to the apartment: one in the front leading to the pool area, and another in the back going to the parking lot. The driver apparently used the front door for the delivery, and the idea is that Harris was coming and going from the back.
People are also asking about the dog in relation to this timeline. Personally, I think all this means is that he took the dog for walk, brought her back, then left again.
But if that's the case, then this new information just complicates things (imo), because if he came back from a long walk with the dog and left again, then we really don't know when either of those events occurred.
by Anonymous | reply 301 | April 18, 2024 6:23 AM |
^^^ "The driver apparently used the front door for the delivery, and the idea is that Harris was coming and going from the back."
Correction: Reverse that. Driver is said to have left the delivery at the back door, with Harris probably using the front door.

This is a post from the Facebook page from a contributor who follows this guy named Tony on TikTok who does a Chase.N.Crime show. It's relevant because both Caleb's father and the Corpus Christi PD have spoken to this guy about the case.
[quote] Tony is live on TikTok Chase.N.Crime and stated law enforcement has told the parents they have someone in their crosshairs and that the case is a digital case at this time. Most of the discussion is about the Sebastian Roger’s case, but he said in a meeting with Caleb’s father and LE, he asked directly if they had no leads or if they had anyone in the crosshairs for the parents to have some sort of peace of mind basically and that the cop said specifically, “We have someone in the crosshairs.” He also said the Reddit is definitely legitimate and that the police have known about it since before the public did, but they have been advised not to speak directly on it.

With this development, the vlogger who's been acting as something of a spokesperson for the family has FINALLY confirmed that they all believe the Reddit account was his.
He hints that he himself wasn't in agreement with them wanting to keep this pertinent detail about his activity that night a secret, but he went along with it out of respect for the family and to keep communication with them open. Like he basically says, nothing wrong with a 21-year old adult male looking for consensual sex. And it could help with uncovering something that someone else knows and/or alert others in the area if foul play is discovered.
The segment on Caleb Harris starts around the 12:35 mark.

Someone then posted that he had some sort of a dating account, listing "M4A" ("Men for All...) as an interest. He went missing at 3am and now his remains have likely turned up in a wastewater well a month or two later.
Why can't these gay kids just hop on a Greyhound to San Francisco, rent a room and do temp jobs while putting themselves through local colleges like we used to do? Better than ending up dead in a wastewater well in smelly Texas, I say.

R344 This info is in one of recent Gray Hughes videos -- the same true crime investigator that R345 has linked to, but in a different video.
Apparently, Hughes has a good contact whom he trusted and was talking to him, and when the Administrator at the Facebook page that is "family-approved" found out what was being said about Caleb, she felt compelled to address some things. .. In the video at the link, Hughes puts up screen caps of her lengthy post, where she confirms much of what was being said as true, i.e. what I put in my post at R343.
You can listen to that part and see the screen caps in the following video. That portion starts around the 50-second mark.

by Anonymous | reply 351 | July 18, 2024 1:40 AM |
R351 Even if what they have of his body is so degraded to not be able to prove one way or another whether any crime was committed, I would think they would at least have to follow-through on how they think his remains ended up in the well. There's all kinds of debate on the wastewater system, the size of pipes, access to the well, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 352 | July 18, 2024 2:22 AM |
The article mentioned his remains had no obvious signs of homicide. So maybe no gunshot or stab wounds? But might he had been drugged, beaten, or strangled? How could his body end up in a well.
by Anonymous | reply 353 | July 18, 2024 2:31 AM |
The parents are probably praying (literally) that authorities find an easy way for hm to have accidentally fallen in some ditch or manhole, which eventually led to his dead body ending up in the wastewater station. .. That way, authorities wouldn't need to release any information about his recent Reddit activity or whether "Anyone" even responded to his message that night, because that angle would basically become irrelevant with the whole thing seen as a tragic accident having nothing to do with his bisexual activity.
by Anonymous | reply 354 | July 18, 2024 8:31 PM |
People magazine seems to be leading with the "fell in a manhole" angle, and the article talks about one where the cover was probably removed by farming equipment with grass growing over the opening. It's only 600 ft from where the Harris' last snapchat pic was sent.
[quote] Although police can't say for certain how he entered the manhole, which measured 25 inches wide and 15 feet deep, Breedlove says police do believe that the open manhole was Harris' point of access into the sewer system.
by Anonymous | reply 355 | July 21, 2024 12:52 AM |
I’m surprised it took them this long to find the body. You’d think the city would know of these drainage/collector/whatever ditches and they would look there. Ridiculous.
by Anonymous | reply 356 | July 21, 2024 1:08 AM |
The article says authorities had previously looked in and drained both the suspect manhole and the lift station where he ended up during the search. So if that's where he fell in, then his corpse may have been in the underground pipe on route to the lift station.

by Anonymous | reply 358 | July 21, 2024 2:27 AM |
Most people don't end their life in the trash or drain pipes unless they were tossed there after the fact to get rid of the evidence. Maybe it was as simple robbery attempt, hit on the back of the head, choked out who knows then body dumped. That's not going to really show up after it's been rotting away like they found it. Late nights bring out a lot of criminal elements.
by Anonymous | reply 359 | July 21, 2024 5:40 AM |
He was walking around in the middle of the night, a very foggy night.
The manhole cover had been off so long that grass obscured the open hole.
He'd been drinking with his friends much of the night. He was also out there on his phone; sending photos and messages to a friend, then his sister, and perhaps still chatting/looking to see if anyone was responding to his message for a hook-up
Dark, foggy, a little drunk, and looking at his phone instead of paying attention to where he was walking and what was in front of him.
I could easily see him falling into an open hole.
