Honestly I find it less bothersome when children of that famous follow in their parents footsteps then when, as in the case with Stella McCartney, their parents use influence to place them into success in an unrelated field. It makes sense to me that the child of actors, having grown up in the business, breathing the air and sitting at the knee of its most gifted practitioners would seek to follow the same path. They have the genes, they have an understanding of the world. Why not? We don't complain when plumbing businesses are multigenerational, why so we when it's acting or singing? ,

I have to say, Jade Jagger runs a very good jewelry company. I have bought pieces from them, and the quality and customer service is really above and beyond. And she designs the items herself. I assumed it was a dumb rich kid vanity project and have been pleasantly surprised every time.

Karis Jagger just won multiple awards for "High on the Hog: A Culinary Journey from Africa to America" documentary. I listened to a podcast where she and her co-producer were interviewed. She was very smart and grounded. But also--I think a lot of it has to do with intelligence. Someone like Jagger (or Bowie) might be hedonistic, but also not stupid. I think a lot of the celeb screw-up spawn are also the product of shallow/inept parents.

I also live near Alan Alda's daughter! She is normal.

What about Sly's kids? I know he's been trying to fame whore them out a la Kardashian style but to my knowledge they're scandal free.

Mick Jagger is a pretty intelligent., cultured guy and I know Jerry, who gets lots of hate here, was a hands on mom to their own as well as his kids from other relationships. She even the exes to family functions.
